  1. Yeah, I mean, I get it... obviously there were some completely embellished things in there, but certainly Ueck could've believed we'd clinch the postseason again and penned a letter "just in case" to tell the guys congrats... but to completely fabricate it is super tacky.
  2. Seeing that the "Bob Uecker letter" was actually written by Murphy to "try and include him in the celebration"... oof. Not a fan of that at all...
  3. Does it really matter? 1/2 seeds get a bye... that's all I really care about.
  4. I’m honestly kind of excited for when Peralta gets a bigger deal somewhere else. I cannot stand watching him pitch. I hate the thought of him being a game one starter (again). You never know what you’re going to get, and even if it’s an excellent start he’s done after 6. He is absolutely not a #1 starter and I wish they’d stop treating him as one. You don’t constantly ask “are we getting good Peralta or bad Peralta tonight?” from an “ace” on the best team in baseball.
  5. My point is there should only be two. 3 game series. Let the division winners rest for a moment. This isn’t rocket science.
  6. Just have the two wildcard teams play a 3 game series. It’s that simple. MLB made some big stink about time and giving teams off back in the day. And now? They give the best team over a week off. It’s ridiculous.
  7. Yep, the fact that a team can win their division and get stiffed with a three game series is ridiculous. Get rid of the third wild card team and make the two play a 3 game series. It’s so simple.
  8. I purchased some Govee smart/LED patio lights off of Amazon back in March during Prime Days. I finally got them setup Friday evening while grilling some steaks before the first Nationals game with alternating blue/yellow colors. I haven’t turned them off since. My wife finally asked me today why I haven’t turned them off and she understood immediately. These things will stay on until they become bad juju.
  9. I've been a bit on the fence with the whole Miz thing, but if this is true, then I mean, come on... https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2025/07/13/kyson-witherson-malachi-mlb-draft-prospects-oklahoma/84912549007/
  10. I don’t post here much, but feeling the need… did Murphy do something to you in a past life? The hatred is palpable.
  11. When you think about it, the Brewers typically have done this during the past few playoff years. They field a team that excels of two of the three things (pitching, defense, hitting). This year the pitching is probably all they have. Defense is shoddy, hitting is atrocious. Pitching, while not stellar, will probably be pretty great this year. Trade them.
  12. Starting to look like a throw away season. These guys can’t hang with anyone. At least last year their defense was a thing of beauty to watch and they kind of could at least hit. This year is… oof.
  13. I mean, you don't go from last year to this year just like that. This is kind of amazing.
  14. What in the hell is going on with this team? Yikes.
  15. Just watched the 2 HRs for the first time since live on television. Man, that is gut-wrenching. Was having a BBQ at our house with a bunch of friends, after attending the night before, watching on the television outside. Absolute elation... could hear cheers in my neighborhood... followed by my soul being crushed.
  16. Oh Jesus… lost in all of this is Uecker. I really thought this might just be the team to win it all for him too.
  17. Devin Williams is not a closer. Trevor McGill is the closer on this team. How many times has Williams come in and we wonder “what kind of Williams will we get tonight?” Thats just not a closer mentality. Trevor is a workhorse with the look of a psychopath. That’s who I want closing games. Sorry.
  18. Oh cool… MegIll in the fourth. That should work well. *** are we even doing?
  19. I knew this series was over when they pulled peralta out last night for no real reason. For whatever reason this team just can’t ride what got them to the postseason… they always try to get too cute.
  20. That’s the kind of talk that makes Murphy a pretty darn good coach. I was there today and you could just feel the disdain with our crowd towards that team. Things were getting out of hand.
  21. The only way this doesn't land squarely on the shoulders of Murphy, is if Devin is hurt. But he also could've had somebody warming up. I just don't get it.
