  1. Really figured that was it. Wow.
  2. I’m no Debbie Downer, because I honestly thought we were playoff bound last year; but I’m getting the sense first place is slipping away. We had a chance to blow this thing open by just taking 2 of 3 from the Cubs and here we are.
  3. Look, I don’t post here much but let’s call it like it is. This team just treading water right now should be seen as an accomplishment with all the injuries. Let’s see what happens when they are back to (almost) full strength.
  4. Phillies win it. Not really angry. The Brewers have done this to themselves. Onto the next one.
  5. Phillies tied it up in the 8th. Of course.
  6. Sure would be nice if the Phillies lost one tonight... keep things interesting.
  7. Oh, I agree. I’m still in it to win it. But it’s the most Brewer thing ever to see Hader blow up a bunch of games for the Padres while we lose series to the Reds, Pirates, Cubs is what I meant. We blew this lead - divisional and wild card and we earned it.
  8. Padres gave us plenty of opportunities while we were slumming it against bottom feeder teams in the central. Of course they’ll right the ship as we do.
  9. Flabbergasted by the decisions tonight. I get that no lead is protected in Colorado… but 6-1? Come on. I think the Counsell magic started wearing thin when the league started instituting rules that went against him getting too cute.
  10. I hope Mark A is watching this and realizing that sometimes… sometimes… at the trade deadline you need to add some offense.
  11. I was hoping my post captured that. Packers will win their division (where have we heard that before) and flame out as usual.
  12. Welp, my friends, father, and father-in-law told me a couple weeks ago that it’s over for this team. I kept making excuses saying they can make it in and make miracles. I’m done. This team is trash. Onto watching the Packers get the bye and losing at Lambeau. Yeesh.
  13. Alright get one tomorrow and get the series. We keep winning series and we are in.
  14. Sparky hasn't done Bucks postgame in years. He was basically just down to the 3 hours during the afternoon each day with The Big Show (which was borderline unlistenable anyhow haha).
  15. All I really care about is Tim Allen having a spot for the postgame show. The guy is a class act and he deserves a spot on the airwaves. Is somebody going to pick him up?
  16. I don’t understand all of the “I hope they miss the playoffs” nonsense. Baseball is such a weird sport. All you need to do is make it year after year and you have a shot. See the Cardinals. Remember the 2019 Nationals? 3 times since the wild card was introduced has the best record won it all. It’s a crapshoot. You get hot and you’ve got a shot. I’m overjoyed we make the playoffs every year, now. Let’s keep it up.
  17. I agree with this. I was so pumped when they clinched the postseason weeks ago, but then when they had the chance over the cardinals to end them, and just faltered it all seemed off to me. I kept coming here to read, as a casual fan, that it didn’t matter, but it sure didn’t seem like a great way to enter the postseason.
  18. I think the issue with consistency at Miller Park in 2011 was related to the shadows for afternoon games. The roof was closed for the first two games so they kept it closed for game 5 which was a mid afternoon start. The roof was open for Game 1 of the NLCS two days later. It’s generally cloudy today so the roof could be open unless and until a threat of rain develops. Ah, ok. Good to know!
  19. I think one of the best parts about baseball are the intricacies of different ballparks. The Green Monster, the Ivy Wall at Wrigley, the weird bump at Minute Maid. Why MLB has had the desire to "keep things consistent" at Miller Park (now AmFam) for the playoffs is kind of weird to me.
