  1. Id get Hudson if it meant we can get rid of Doug Davis. Can we trade him now and let the Braves take him to Arby? DD and Eveland might gitrdun.
  2. I think its only fair that we mention that his offyear came in Colorado. His stats away from Coors Field were quite different. humidor or not, the ball doesnt do what it is supposed to do there. I would love to have him on board.
  3. Ray King and Shouse would allow us to use one of them to acquire a piece at the deadline. There are no teams that have 2 excellent lefty BP arms. If its possible this is something that should be done, no question. I just think that there is no reason NOT to acquire Ray King if the opportunity presents itsself. The BP needs good arms and Ray is one
  4. Guys - yes AROD is on the block but he isnt going to come cheap. He is still one of the top 10 players in the game, still a young man, and still a hall of famer. While I dont doubt that the Yankees would trade him, I think the cost is going to be proven players - all star players or young future stars. Id love for him to be in Milwaukee, but the price is going to be more on teh level of Prince Fielder than it is Doug Davis.
  5. Carl Crawford brings excitement(although I still like Baldelli better). He would be worth every penny he is paid. He is definatly a CF unless Bill Hall is there. Then we could afford the lack of Power in LF. Add Hart to RF and that is one seriously fast team. I tell you that it would be awesome to have a guy at the top of the order who can get on base via the bunt.
  6. Good post. Its gotta be time to start taking some risks. If your not going to take risks then we are in the wrong business.
  7. This is true - AROD has a blanket No trade clause.
  8. Oh yeah I would. Can you imagine AROD hitting behind Prince? If we did somehow get him, I would have to drop Ricky Weeks to 5th in the order though to get him swinging behind AROD. Hopefully Hart or Gross would be able to handle leadoff. The biggest question is if AROD came to Milwaukee, would he be a 3rd baseman or return to SS?
  9. If Hart doesnt start Ned doesnt deserve to be managing
  10. The one move I really would like to see is for the Brewers to go out and sign GIL MECHE. I love this guys stuff and think Gil has Ace potential is is just now hitting 27 years old. 4 years, 28 million. Resign Hall - although I think its going to take more than 3 years 12 million. I think the true number will be something like 3 years 18 million and we better get it done before the Yankees and Redsox can get in teh bidding.
  11. Think they pitch around the big fella? I do.
  12. I figured he was just sick and thats why Ash is in the booth. Something else happen that I am not aware of?
  13. But that is 2 games that we could have gained in the WC. I dont know if the glass is half empty or half full.
  14. I dont know if this is a stat that can be tracked, but can ANYONE tell me when the last time Doug Davis had a 1,2,3 first inning? If this guy cant get out of the first inning without some damage, then he doesnt belong a starting pitcher. I know there is alot of DD love around here, but enough is enough. Skip his next start and give Eveland another shot.
  15. This one even I have to give Ned a free pass on, and I might be his biggest hater. 2 outs and nobody on - let Tomo get back out there and get rolling.
  16. I agree - Doug has been luckier than Kid Rock these last few outings. He has started the games so horrible and been lucky to get out of the jams he has put himself in.
  17. Its just a brief opinion - but Brady hasnt been working in right too much so I thought it was a good question to pose to the crew here. Gwynn screwed up on that play - plain and simple. But shouldnt Clark have been backing up on that play. Somehow Clark ended up in front of Gwynn - which leads me to think that the mistake was his - I think Gwynn was going to make a play on that ball but when Clark didnt appear to be yielding to Gwynn, I think Gwynn suddenly went into backing up Clark, but couldnt stop in time. I could be wrong, and without that play, I wouldnt know what a bad dude Cordero is, so I am glad it happened. I am just curious if anyone else interpretted it that way.
  18. My opinion is probably because mistakes do happen in the form of bad pitches and passed balls.
  19. Thats a Big K. Getting to face the pitcher.
  20. Well that works and I stand corrected. Me personally - 2-3-4 coming up I dont care - Sheets has been given the short end of the stick too often.
