  1. You must see a level of excitement in those statements that I’m missing. You yourself even stated that he’d be great against 30% of pitchers. What makes you think he’d be getting 2/3rds of the DH at-bats and that everyone is excited by it as endaround was implying?
  2. If Hodges’s sees playing time in the first half against Purdue that means the game is going amazingly well or really bad.
  3. TDS does as well - I can start watching in my basement and switch to my living room, bedroom or garage and pick up where I left off. I know a few years ago Spectrum told me they were introducing it into some markets and it would be available in Wisconsin soon but I haven’t had them for almost 2 years now.
  4. Maybe? You can no longer be optimistic about the Packers as a franchise based on the first name the media listed as getting an interview? Wasn’t Jim Leonhard his first choice last go round? Did he meet any of your criteria above that makes you doubt the entire franchise? What about the others that have been listed as getting an interview or request to be interviewed? Where do they fall on your list of requirements to be LaFleur’s DC?
  5. This seems like a little bit of an overreaction to the first potential interview in this process.
  6. So this is sorta what it feels like to be a big market MLB team?
  7. I didn’t take it as you were bashing him. I was genuinely curious as to why you’d prefer a coach with no coordinator experience just because he coached at the pro level.
  8. Jim Powell is how I found Brewerfan many, many years ago. Would love to have him back in the booth after Uecker hangs ‘em up and figured there was no way he’d leave his hometown team… maybe there is a (very small) chance in the future we’ll get to hear him again.
  9. Why is a young position coach in the NFL, with no experience running his own D, more appealing than a very highly regarded and experienced college DC? I won’t lie, I’d enjoy Leonhard as the coach more than some others because he is a Badger but that is not why I’d want him as the coach. What I like about Leonhard is the flexibility in the system he runs and the aggressive nature of his teams. The fact that he got top ranked D’s with lower ranked and less heralded players is another reason I’d prefer him over other college DC’s from big time programs that get a bunch of 5 stars. In the end, I’d be happy with many of the names floating around as the most important qualification is they are not named Joe Barry.
  10. So they are paying 3 head coaches how much now?
  11. You wrote that in blue but it is 100% what @JefferyLeonard will say if they make an appearance in this thread.
  12. Exactly, the ball is blocking the receivers face. When you watch the clip you can literally see the ball bounce off the ground and change direction. With how quickly they reviewed that play, it was almost like they didn’t want to overturn it.
  13. Here is the angle that nate82 was saying showed it definitely didn’t hit the ground.
  14. So, in your mind the Brewers should never use rookies and other pre-arby players, even if they could be good, since they are cheap and that makes the Brewers and Attanasio cheap. Instead, they need to spend lots of money in free agency to show they aren’t cheap even if those players would end up only providing a marginal improvement for a much larger cost or are terrible on their own.
  15. Just gotta wait for them to make their half time adjustments.
  16. You are giving the ref too much of a pass by blaming the Lions for this. The Lions even told the refs about this play prior to it happening, so they should have been prepared. As you said, 70 didn’t even get close to the ref, yet he specifically said when the two lineman (68 and 58 I believe) were talking with him is when 70 reported as eligible. This is incompetence at its best and corruption at its worst.
  17. Video evidence sure seems to dispute what the ref said. I not sure 70 got within 3 yards of the ref while Decker is right next to him.
  18. I’m not trying to defend the defense. It was (and has been) hot garbage and as soon as the season is done, I hope Barry’s ass is fired. I’d still rather have offensive players who would be more pissed at themselves for the three and out’s and how that contributed to the crappiness of the defense than worrying about their coach pointing it out.
  19. I’d rather have the offensive players take it personally that they had two three and out's. It is a team game and the offense lost plenty of games early this year when the D actually played well. We’re not a good enough team for one side of the ball to start thinking they’ve done more for team success over the course of the whole year than the other.
  20. This. Looks like his left hand stayed in control of the ball even when he flipped over and it touched the ground. At least enough where you had to let the call stand.
  21. If the ball is still loose, how do you get a personal foul for jumping on the pile?
  22. I was at the game and was livid that there was no run off and that the clock didn’t start when the ball was set. Not sure if I dropped more F-bombs then or the late hit against Mahomes a few plays earlier. On a side note, that game was one of the best, if not best, games I’ve ever been to… just amazing. ETA: found this article talking about the bad officiating and mentions the missed runoff. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/boston/news/nfl-officiating-spotlight-preposterous-chiefs-packers-patrick-mahomes-valdes-scantling/
  23. Even more impressive for Love considering who Rodgers was throwing the ball to that year.
  24. I feel like many are remembering Crosby more favorably than his stats show in comparison to Carlson. Crosby had a career FG percentage of 81.4% which is lower than Carlson this year (82%) and only exceeded 82% in 6 of his 16 seasons.
