  1. I can’t fathom how Keston is so bad at the position he played in HS/College/Minors. Like unfathomably bad. 2 bad throws in a row.
  2. The last 3 years Yelich’s slugging, OBP, wRC+ have all declined. Going forward in his career, his role should be primarily DH. An offensive upgrade at the corner outfield spot would be a terrific addition to this team but realistically the team will have to live by Yelich and hopefully not die by Yelich.
  3. This is where I’m at. Normally I lean towards hoarding every prospect but these are the years we should be pushing the chips in. One of Frelick or Mitchell should be leveraged with our depth at outfield in the minors. Wiemer and Chourios would be my untouchables but other than that I would part with almost anyone.
  4. Wonder if he doesn’t go on an IL stint once the team is healthy. I’m sure he can find some type of strain or ache. A week off might be good for him. He’s not good. At anything. I guess he stills runs “those base pads beautifully” once a week or so.
  5. I would be very interested if someone accumulated total WAR or whatever stat you want to use to rank the brewers outfield in comparison to the rest of MLB. I would bet it’s bottom 7 or 8.
  6. And game over. Can’t rely on 1 guy to win you games. Bad offense.
  7. I really hope Stearns has been watching closely. His team getting smashed at home against a likely playoff opponent missing their superstar SS as well. Outmatched in every sense this weekend.
  8. Classic brewers. Over-cautious. I understand it over the course of 162 games but when you can’t hit at all maybe you accelerate your normal tendencies.
  9. The cold hard truth is, unless the team finds another piece in the lineup, they’re not good enough and will hold the team back again. I expect Stearns to be very active until the deadline.
  10. He’s not good. Their is a reason he hasn’t pitched more than 9 big league innings in a single season. Teams find out quickly and move on. I suspect the brewers will do the same. Go Crew!
  11. Trevor Kelley has overstayed his welcome. 2 out of his 5 appearances have been really really bad.
  12. This game has been less fun for me as a fan than the high scoring affair from yesterday. Sloppy baseball from the Crew. Cutch is 0 for his last 26 with 0 walks. That’s a pretty crazy slump. Or he’s just this bad…unrelated topic, Caratini acquisition could go down as our best under the radar move.
  13. My fear with Yelich is such, he’s only going to get slower and weaker with age. He’s already a non productive member in the lineup. What’s he gonna look like in 3 years? It would solve so many of the teams problems if he could figure it out. I really hope he does.
  14. Steele is one of the least impressive major leaguers I’ve ever watched. Throws two pitches, neither are good. Doesn’t have a particularly difficult arm slot. Reminds me of a very poor man’s Lester. Yet Yelich strikes out on a pitch near his face…
  15. What a fun game. That’s how baseball should be played. Back and forth, high scoring. Now on to game 2.
  16. Brewers two biggest weakness’ essentially remain the same. Can’t hit lefties with any consistency, need more dependable pen arms. Both can be addressed. Both must be addressed.
  17. Told y’all. Never ever be concerned when Burnes is pitching. Just enjoy the starts and hope the offense puts a few across. Winning 4 of 7 on the road against two really good teams is very solid. Team will have played 12 more road games vs home games when they finally return home. Also, I believe this is the most games they will play consecutively all season. 11 games in 10 days.
  18. And thinking he is anything other than a platoon hitter for the last 3 years. Their is a reason he was still available to sign.
  19. So over McCutchen hitting against anything other than a lefty. He’s awful.
  20. Why be worried? You have the best pitcher in baseball taking the mound. Just enjoy it. Team leaves in first place regardless and will have a TON of home games in the 2nd half of the schedule.
  21. 2-0 hole already, couple runners on with no outs. No Adames or Renfroe and that feels like a big hole.
  22. He also has only 1 RBI since then. They’ve played everyday.
