    I think this is reasonable re: Machado. He still has some antics on the field that likely rubs Brewers fans wrong. Same as Contreras ticked off some Padres fans with his extended HR trot. I think Padres fans were booing Chourio also. Not as loud and pronounced as Brewers fans boo Machado though. I don't think there's anything wrong with fans continuing to boo him, it's kind of part of the game whether there's history or not. Players get booed, it's part of being a star. I think he'd still get booed even if he had never did the thing with Aguilar back in 2018.

    I am concerned about the offense. I've seen a lot of the same issues as last season's matchup with the Dodgers during the Padres series. But also I have to believe that they're going to do better than scoring 1 singular run per game and I'd really like to think they're not going to just get swept out of the NLCS a second year in a row. Their pitching and defense should hopefully be able to hold up, it's all about the offense doing better than last time for me and it's pretty unlikely that they're going to be that level of bad again. I hope not anyway. This team is so overdue for a breakout game on offense in the playoffs. Give me one game where they win comfortably, preferably early on and maybe that sets a tone for the series for them.

    Sure but this is not the only poster that has this weird issue with Murphy's kids being present at a press conference. A) what percentage of baseball fans even choose to watch a full press conference, and B) what even tinier percentage of those viewers have this particular issue? It's just so incredibly unimportant. Hey, someone being annoyed that the kids are there is fine, right? Ok, I can accept a person having that feeling in the moment. But it's been harped upon over and over and over on this message board for a couple years now. It's... weird.

    I think there's a place for May. I don't really want him starting a game but I think he could be used for 1 inning potentially or, more likely (and hopefully not), could be used in a game where the Brewers are getting blown out to just eat innings and save the good pitchers. Ideally they wouldn't need him at all but I think he'd be ok for an emergency type situation. He is capable of pitching well, he just really hasn't sustained a good multi-inning stretch for this team.

    Seems to me that having a lot of baserunners is a good thing. Isn't it? Statistically some of those runners are eventually going to score runs.
