  1. Yeah, I like how N.E. being trash and then landing a QB with a #3 overall pick somehow translates to "whiff" for Green Bay. The Packers haven't picked in the top 3 since 1989. Man, they sure do suck.
  2. $14.99 per month or $139 annually. I think they've moved away from the $35 requirement to get two day shipping, it's more about whether the item is eligible or not. You can also get one day shipping for eligible items. Depending on where you're located of course, if you're in a remote area I'm sure your experience will differ. Amazon owns Twitch so I believe they can show the actual game.
  3. That's a good point but I believe they partner with Twitch streamers that "call" those games and provide commentary? Correct me if I'm wrong. So people would be at the mercy of those personalities talking over the game. I also don't really view this as a viable option for people that rely mostly on traditional TV broadcasts especially older generations.
  4. I am in the Green Bay TV market but I also have an Amazon Prime subscription. The Green Bay/Milwaukee TV markets are a very populous region but obviously that's still not going to cover Packers fans in Wisconsin outside those areas and that really sucks. The days where folks only relied on antenna reception for TV broadcasts is far past. It's hard for me to fathom that folks in Madison for instance don't have access to the local broadcast.
  5. That is an issue. Sign up with a new/different email address for a free trial if Amazon still offers those? Optionally, playoff games can be streamed on NFL+ for a $6.99 monthly fee which would be cheaper than an Amazon Prime $14.99 monthly fee.
  6. I would assume that local broadcasts in Milwaukee and Green Bay markets will be available as is usual for Amazon Prime games.
  7. And yet that person somehow seems to feel MLF is more safe than Gute. Five weeks ago the Packers were looking like serious Super Bowl contenders despite losing very winnable games that many directly blame the coaching staff for. Then they lose their superstar on defense and their starting QB to injury, among other key injuries, and lose 4 straight games. I don't think the roster was the problem.
  8. I think Gute is pretty solidly safe. Unless there's some hall of fame level GM out there that is or becomes available.
  9. The death by paper cuts that this Packers team is.
  10. The fanciest looking 1 to 2 yard gains in football.
  11. So far I'm not impressed.
  12. I'll be watching to the bitter end and hoping for a happy end.
  13. With the way the Brewers strategize their draft I don't know that draft position is too telling about players that then go on to make it to the show. But these tender embraces of Collins, these overly warm hugs and snuggles, feel like a little too much to me. He's just a guy and he has his warts. He wore a Brewers uniform for a while and now he doesn't. I'm not that broken up about it. To beat the proverbial dead horse I just trust the moves this front office group makes.
  14. I've had him stashed on my dynasty fantasy league team the last two seasons and I could keep him for 2 more but I'm dropping him. Even at just $2 he isn't worth it.
  15. Yeah, the season is effectively done. It's sad. I was more than halfway checked out when Watson went down, he honestly felt like the difference maker on that offense this season. Parsons going down sealed it. It's definitely not just Parsons either, it's too many impact guys just gone due to injuries. Could they still win games, sure but this isn't a team that inspires me to any great levels of optimism. Devastating to lose a guy you spent two 1st round picks to get, there's no way around that. That's something that has layers that go beyond just the impact on this season.
  16. Of course we get the bonus injury to Watson on that play. Of course.
  17. Reload and shoot self in foot again, can't do it too many times apparently. Oh hey, nice TD though!
  18. I honestly thought he just let go and dropped him. I guess he was supposed to set him down like a newborn baby.
  19. The coach handshake at the end of the game is a big nothingburger. Hard to believe there are people talking about it or reading anything deeper into it. If there was tension there in either direction it was the mildest I've ever seen.
  20. Too much time left on the clock.
  21. Refs throwing hard for the Bears.
