  1. Another-nother fun fact: Schoop has hit dingers in six of his last seven games. Whoa.
  2. Another fun fact: Schoop did not draw a single walk in the month of July.
  3. Schoop was a 5+ bWAR player last year. And he OPSed over 1.000 in July. And Hiura, Burnes, Ray, Peralta... all still in the fold... I can get behind this.
  4. Chacin and the bullpen Which is also the name of my new band
  5. Source: #Brewers pursuing #Nationals LHP Gio Gonzalez. Me likey.
  6. If they play .500 ball from here on out, they’ll be on pace for 87.5-74.5. That would’ve been good for the second wild card last year.
  7. Like some others, I saw the lineups and the SPs and thought "lol, we're gonna blow 'em out." Because baseball.
  8. The Brewers front office seems more interested in building/growing assets than patching holes. Giving Villar a chance to work things out makes sense in that light. (So does not signing name brand SPs who're just about to head over the hill.)
  9. If the A's don't do so well, he could be traded to a contender at the deadline to go try to get his ring. (Heck, it could be us.)
  10. And signs ahead of Moustakas. Interesting. Mets get tired of Boras playing hard ball?
  11. Throw in a couple cases of Genuine Draft?
  12. It would be surprising if Arrieta signed before Darvish. But if Darvish is just yanking our chain for leverage, I guess we’d only put up with that for so long. I hope the next move is a trade of Santana (plus?) for a number 2-3 starter with a couple years of team control. Doesn’t have to be Archer. Because I also hope we keep both Woodruff and Burnes.
  13. I grew up with the DH, but have grown to like, and I guess even prefer, the pitcher batting. HOWEVER. The current Brewers lineup with a DH sounds pretty darn good. Okay, I’m in.
