    i like cappy, but i am consistently bothered by the fact that he doesn't throw a lot of first pitch strikes. seems like he's always working behind in the count.

    Mass Haas, I was thinking the same thing about the comments. That's the first time I've heard anything remotely negative about the fellas on last year's Huntsville team. I don't want to read too much into the comments as they can often be overblown, but none-the-less, interesting obserations. Before labeling last year's AA team as "malcontents" or some such thing, it would perhaps be wise to consider that the management of the team didn't do its part in creating opportunities for the fans to interact with the players. However, Barnwell's comments are interesting and seem to indicate that at the very least, there were some playes on the team last year that weren't happy about being there. That's about all I'm willing to read into the quote.

    any insights as to why woolard didn't get bumped up to AAA? the only reasoning i can think of right now is that there just isn't any room for him up there. thoughts?

    brett, i'm all for doing whatever will give the crew the best chance to win, though i doubt that any manager would be allowed to run a 4 man rotation anymore.

    AJAY, i completely agree. i hope that's the kind of thing he does really well all year. heck, that's the kind of stuff that we haven't done in the past to help us on to victory.

    brewmann, maybe he'll pitch as a set-up guy. isn't novinsky the closer at AAA? can they split time? i'm not sure that the higher-ups see bennett as a closer.

    alrighty, kryzel just got thrown out again trying to steak 2B. how can a fella that fast be so inept at stealing? the thing that concerns me is that he hasn't shown any improvement at stealing over the course of the spring.

    i can tell you that from experience, the only scenario in which i've ever "been in heaven" in illinois is when i've been at soldier field watching the pack whoop the bears. that's always a treat. sorry if this is off topic.

    the name that sutton read over the air, i can only assume was you for a few reasons: 1) it fit your handle pretty well 2) he remaked on your observations about hendrickson's mechanics as well as krynzel's new stance, and 3) brewerfan.net got a mention in the same breath. if this was you, congrats. hope you get the tix. ando
