  1. ESPN woops i was just testing it out. forgot to hit the "preview" button. i realize now that there's no need to type in "www". ok, cool. i dig it. thanks for the help brian. you truly are the automator http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. i'm having a bear of a time figuring out how to properly 1) post links (in that cool way where the link actually has a title instead of a plain url address) and 2) enter standings in a way that is readable, etc. i've already read the FAQ and messed around with this a bit but have gotten nowhere. everytime i try and post a titled link and preview it first, ez board tells me i didn't complete the code or text or something. i know these questions get asked all the time, so thank you in advance for your patience and advice.
  3. i just listened to the archived radio broadcast from the 9th inning. what a satisfying win. i think uke was even suprised by what the team pulled off. wow. i'm still basking in the glow of that victory.
  4. Any word why Braun is out? Is he just getting a rest, or is it another reason? i listened to the game when the WV broadcaster was going through the lineups and he made no insight as to why he wasn't playing. just for the positive vibe (and until we hear otherwise) i'm just going to assume he was getting a day off to give murray some PT. edit: Septimo and Bell lead off the bottom of the 1st for the Helena Baby Brews with Back to Back Bombs. hooray for Helena.
  5. i really have no idea what to say about this game or this team. i'm just sitting at my computer completely stunned. love the win, absolutely love it.
  6. You will be back for more abuse tomorrow you're probably right. i've never sworn off booze or the brewers, but i'm getting darn close to doing one of those two things.
  7. if we lose this game i'm imposing a ban on myself from following the brewers until the road trip is over.
  8. why is it that our pitchers are completely incapable of protecting a lead. ugh. why do i even bother to listen to the stinkin' games?
  9. Anaconda actually, i find this movie so campy that it makes me laugh quite a bit. especially love the scene when the giant snake spits john voight out of his mouth and he just stands there and winks at jennifer lopez. campy indeed.
  10. i recently listened to mike golic on espn 1000 in chicago as he made the assertion that true sports fans, as much as they love their respective teams, are actually in agony throughout the process of a game in play. right now, i agree with him. ugh. this is killing me.
  11. somebody near the press box is definately a brewers fan, i've been able to hear them cheering all night long.
  12. Well, welcome to Brewer fandom WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE i just about weeeeed myself laughing at your take on being a Brewers fan HOFFY.
  13. Nice inning by Ohka, hopefully he settles down. if the crew keeps up the scoring bonanza, it might be.
  14. hereafter, this day must be comemorated to celebrate the Slaughter of the Holy Lemur. you may begin your weeping and gnashing of teeth. i am now garbed in sackcloth.
  15. What's the quote from? The Big Lebowski
  16. mmmmm, nothing says "sweep" like a big bowl of fried okra.
  17. and the game is back...sans scoreboard in cincy.
  18. did the audio just cut out for anybody else (from the brewers website)? edit: holy cow - they've got the manual generator going now for the broadcast. looks like this one is going to be done for the night. ugh. there's going to be an update on the game status at 8:40.
  19. well, two runs is a good start. hopefully that won't be the end of it. doh, billy, what are you doing swinging at the 3-0 pitch?
  20. brady starts the game with a single to left - let's get it goin' crew!
  21. it would seem logical to me that branyan is getting a rest today because he's not 100% healthy. sitting a today after he'd played a couple isn't that big of a deal guys. let's not crucify yost before we've even played the game.
  22. mikevan1818, i'm with you. i'm trying to temper my enthusiasm and remain cautiously optimistic, but it's just not working. i keep looking at our next few series i don't get intimidated because i know that we can play good ball with anyone (i suppose we're just as likely to lay an egg, but it's no fun to think like that). that being said, if the brewers continue on this path of gradual improvement i won't be disappointed in the least.
  23. wonderful quote i just heard from powell: "the reds' pitching staff has become the red-headed stepchild of the national league."
  24. did anyone else just lose the audio feed on mlb.com?
