  1. we are just not any good we had bad luck the other teams are really good we are doing well to be over 10 wins at this stage wait until next year i don't think anybody said that HOFFY. in fact, i'd think that if someone did make arguments to those points at this website, they'd get harrassed off the board. We should expect that our guys can do better than 0-13 with RISP; we should expect our manager will actually try to use his brain i think these are things that everyone expects. i don't think anybody has made any excuses for the garbage offense tonight.
  2. If we want to be in the playoffs then we have to beat the best teams. if i'm not mistaken, our last three series have been against three very good teams (marlins, braves, nationals) and we've either split the series (marlins) or won it (braves and nats). i'd say that managing a split (hopefully after tomorrow's game) with the 1st place team from the NL central (and the team with the second best record in the whole mlb, i think) while on the road qualifies as a huge step for this brewers team. i know that we are a whole three games below .500 after tonight, but it seems as though the team is improving. how can i say that you might ask? we'll compared to other years, we're not 20 games out of first place and in the cellar.
  3. It wasn't good enough. Another loss. by this logic it would then seem that most of our pitching staff (starters or otherwise) hasn't been "good enough" even though they've been near the league lead all year in terms of stats (ERA, WHIP, etc.). i promise you that no matter how good your starting pitching is, if the offense is 0-13 w/RISP, no pitching will ever be good enough to mark a tally in the win column.
  4. gave up four HR's in a single inning and what's even more amazing is tha the HB are actually winning the game at the moment. seem to be some fellas that like to hit the ball up there at the moment.
  5. Ned Yost lost this game for us it's not like our team had RISP in the 1st or 2nd inning w/ less than 1 out (or less) and we failed to score them or anything though. just pointing out that while a couple of ned's moves have been questionable the offense is more guilty than ned is for the score.
  6. well, even though it didn't start out that well, it worked. maybe this may signal a change in his approach towards handling the bullpen. whatever gets the job done i guess. no complaints here if it works.
  7. interesting move by Yost to go to the pen after Wise gives up the hit. is he demonstrating some recent LaRussa influence following the all-star game?
  8. for those of you able to watch or listen to the game, could you describe how this happened? for some reason my mlb.audio won't work tonight. did rickie fake for 2B or something and get him to balk?
  9. Our baby girl was born Saturday night congratulations, scoop! best wishes with the new addition to the family.
  10. even with the rain delay it would seem that tauby has had a nice AA debut.
  11. alright, i'm in mlb bizarro audio - i can't get the audio for wtmj but i can get a spanish broadcast for the marlins. ugh, geez is my espanol rusty.
  12. is the audio working for everybody else? this is weird...
  13. Moeller??? Not to mention that D. Miller caught 12 innings last night.
  14. has the plane crashed into the side of the mountain? you know what, we can strike out 30 times tonight as long as we win. really. i don't like our odds of winning if we strike out that many times, but as long as we pull out the W, swing away.
  15. can we just keep wise out there until his arm falls off or we win the game?
  16. this, will all turn out just fine Yeah, Wise should be fine, but we still need to score at least one somewhere thanks for pointing out a typo. you could just mention it next time instead of treating it sarcastically or even not reference it at all since typos are common here.
  17. ok...my wife just yelled at me..... enough of that. and i thought i was the only one whose wife yelled at him when they got too excited by a game. tie game only. wise is money. remain calm. this will all turn out just fine.
  18. has the plane crashed into the side of the mountain here? not yet. tie game. i know it's ugly, but it's tied. let's try and stay positive here.
  19. Cruz now with 19 HR between AA and AAA...what was the name of that guy we gave up to get him? Kevin something or other... ...not to mention that Lehr has adapted well (so far) to the starting rotation in Nashville. let's hope Cruz and Lehr continue to make this deal lopsided in the Brewer's favor.
  20. i don't want to jinx the kid, but jj's only 1 or 2 hits away from cracking the uecker line. keep it goin' kid!!!
  21. Brian, at milwaukeebrewers.com the game preview notes quote Yost as saying that cmags will get the start over Brady today.
  22. I wonder who will bat leadoff since Brady is apparently sitting tonight...? Good question - maybe Weeks? I don't really know who'd be capable of hitting leadoff other than those two.
  23. again, we can see a noticable difference in how the team performs when the guys at the bottom of the order actually produce.
  24. was jj's bunt as good as powell made it sound? way to go jj.
