  1. Well, in that case, Magruder must be a better hitter than Branyan.
  2. BECAUSE BRANYAN IS A BETTER HITTER THAN CHRIS MAGRUDER. Just because the outcome could have been the same, doesn't justify the decision to send the worse hitter to the plate.
  3. So basically you are saying that you are smarter than us and therefore you are right. I agree that every managerial decision won't work out, but I (and hopefully all fans) want the best option to be used at all times. In this situation, Chris Magruder was not the best option. I would venture to say that even Chad Moeller is a comparable option than Chris Magruder. Batting Bill Hall or Russell Branyan in that situation doesn't effect the rest of the game as much as you would like us to believe. Sure, we lose a substitution option later in the game, but I would much rather try to open a game up. Branyan or Hall could have done the same thing as Magruder did, but I would rather go down fighting with my best weapons rather then going down with our 3rd best option.
  4. And guys like naivin will defend Yost, because it is possible those guys would strikeout.
  5. That would have been more productive than Magruder in the 4th
  6. Exactly...I still would have rather seen Russell then. Let's hope he can get it done now though.
  7. What kind of hometown announcer says that? Seriously.
  8. Who is down for 2nd Guessing Ned Yost's decisions?
  9. JJ http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  10. Exactly. I want my best hitters at the plate with runners in scoring position, regardless of inning, rather than saving them until the 8th or 9th when you don't know if you are going to have baserunners.
  11. Ouch...the Cubs are pathetic...I wonder how much of the country got our game?
  12. Actually, naivin, I would rather have seen Eveland stay in the game. He is dealing. IMO, there isn't much of a difference between him and Durrington when it comes to hitting. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I would rather see Durrington saved for late game baserunning situations where he probably would get caught stealing.
  13. Great work Dana....just great stuff from the youngster.
  14. Santos always looks stoned. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif
  15. The ball is in your hands Dana....show what you can do!
