  1. Tampa Bay might get their 2nd player to hit 3,000 hits.
  2. Also, I would leave too if I was a Tampa fan. The nostalgia of getting blown out in an ALDS game at Tropicana Field really wouldn't keep me around.
  3. Mike Maddox is amazing. Wish we could have kept him.
  4. Axford
  5. We all know about Corey Koskie, and now this thing with Justin Morneau. Concussions happen all the time in football, yet they come back sometimes next week. I'm just trying to figure out why its taking Morneau so long to come back.
  6. It's starting to look like we got ripped off in the Carlos Villanueva trade. Wayne Franklin FTW!
  7. AZ Diamondbacks break the 2002 Brewers record for most team strikeouts in a season. Somewhere, Jose Hernandez is poppin' champagne!
  8. Yankees minor league team is a bigger deal in Tampa.
  9. Historically bad grammar in the title.
  10. I doubt we'd be "worried the other team will be mad" for starting a rookie, they probably would welcome it. It's probably because we want to ruin another team's playoff hopes, and starting Rogers could possibly hurt our chances of winning.
  11. Yeah they should retire #51, Brian Shouse's legacy will live on forever!
  12. Both rookie shortstops. Take your pick.
  13. How are the stats meaningless? They are terrible. If he is hurt, he shouldn't be playing. Count me as concerned about Corey's outlook for the remainder of his contract. He could easily fall back into what he was for the last season and a half.
  14. Name other teams where this "happens all the time". It doesn't happen the way it has for the Brewers this season and last with the Estrada fight. I'm not placing blame, but it seems that for the past couple of seasons the clubhouse has been hostile.
  15. And we are 3rd place in the NL Central? Has that ever happened before, the 3 top teams from a league playing in the same division at the end of the season?
  16. I am glad he waited for his contract year to pitch like a Cy Young candidate. That said, keep pitching great Ben.
  17. Dude, it's a shoulder injury that will affect the game of baseball. It's not a life threatening injury. Zambrano will be fine, and in the mean time I will be excited if it causes him to miss some work this summer. All Brewer fans should be happy about this IMO. I don't agree with that but to each their own. I guess that's why I got Benedict as my avatar. Why wouldn't you want to see the Cubs best pitcher miss time this season? If Zambrano misses time, the Brewers chances of going to the playoffs go up.

  19. If we end up losing Prince but keeping Braun, I think we made the right decision.
  20. Why the hell is he still hitting 5th? I suspect another case of Yost trying to outsmart us all.
  21. They didn't retire Damian Miller's number?
  22. Matt Wise gives up 2 hits in .1 innings in his Mets debut. Luckily for the Mets they got out of the inning with to damage. I am so glad we have Riske, Torres, and Mota instead of that bum for late game work.
  23. He is going to take time to revert to being an infielder again. He will be fine, and a huge upgrade over Braun at 3B.
