  1. I can't wait until Darron and Bill praise this ballgame simply because Ben Sheets looked outstanding. Don't get me wrong - that's a great thing, but how about we talk about how pathetic everyone else played.
  2. People complaining about yost simply know very little about the game and how to manage. I just don't buy this. Like Bucksman said before, he manages with his heart, and not his head. No one will ever question his desire to win, but messing with Bush's role is just unnecessary, even with our lousy bullpen. There are just certain "cliche" moves (like the IF in) that he'll always make, and his whole loyalty to veterans/favorites is painfully obvious and hurting the team. He often cares too much about hurting a player's feelings than winning ballgames. No manager is perfect, but Ned isn't even respectable right now.
  3. Man, I bet Ned sure feels like a genius now. He's such a battler - he'll make all those Turnbow-haters eat their words. Maybe it was his plan all along to put the game out of reach there...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  4. I have to admit that, deep down, I want to see Turnbow get rocked here, just to make himself and Yost look even worse. However, realistically deep down, I don't think I'd really be satisfied with that http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif , even though this guy's face makes me want to puke right now.
  5. aside from thr fatc that bush was in there in the first place, why the heck is the infield playing in with runners on 2nd and 3rd with no out? That was absolutely idiotic. I absolutely can't stand having the IF in unless you are more than 50 percent sure you can get a strike out. In any event, playing in with runners on 2nd and 3rd is @#%$. I'm not going to look it up, but I swear the IF in hasn't worked more than 5 percent of the friggin time. Managers that still believe this is the best way to play in that situation are just being stupid, stubborn, or a combination of both. manages with his heart instead of his head Exactly, because he has no real baseball sense. Passion, oh he's overflowing with! He's a gamer, fighter, maybe even a battler. Unfortunately, he's also a moron.
  6. Maybe Yost is the PTBNL in the Graffinino deal? I know there's no PTBNL, but one can dream.
  7. Sheets. Looks. Good. REALLY good. It's just so fitting that our offense looks like a AA team today for his return.
  8. Sheets is really going to have to find a way to make 1 run work from now on, I mean we can't score 12 runs every night!
  9. When Ben Sheets is your 8th best hitter in your lineup, you know you're in SERIOUS trouble.
  10. Honest question: Is that the extent of Jenkins' power right now? I'm starting to worry.
  11. I have to say, I've missed that curve ball dearly. Atta boy Benny.
  12. He doesn't look bad at all. His command is definitely not 100 percent, and his velocity might be slightly down. His curve has looked outstanding at times, which is the most encouraging thing for me. All in all, he looks pretty damn close to the old Ben Sheets.
  13. This team takes you back to things you should learn in T-ball. How many years have you been in the league Cirillo?
  14. Barnwell just flat out cant hit. It's just way too small of a sample size to say things like this.
  15. With all due respect Mr. Powell, that was NOT a good effort by Carlos. I won't miss seeing him in LF next year, that's for sure.
  16. Take it easy there jokers, you're still playing like crap lately. See how fun it is to win?
  17. Somebody doesn't want to get traded! PS: did anyone see who it was that fell on his butt out there in the bullpen right as Lee's HR came in the pen?
  18. Santos sporting very Santosesque numbers on the season. I seem to remember him dominating us once already though.
  19. Man I'd love to have confidence in Davis to cruise like this for 7 innings... But I just don't. Prove me wrong DD.
  20. Man, is Sutton really that bad tonight? Yeah, he's been bad. The thing that pisses me off about Sutton is that he COULD be decent, if he wouldn't constantly dumb down his broadcast and over-compliment every stinkin player in the league. He's apparently "baffled" because this just isn't the Zach Duke everybody's used to seeing. Apparently he hasn't really checked his numbers this year. I think he is an excellent interviewer, and he COULD be a decent announcer, he just chooses to be ridiculously bad.
  21. i actually feel good about Geoff right here Hello Geoff Jenkins' mom, glad you could make it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. Darron, please stop talking about Bay hitting a ball into a bay. My GOD.
  23. Hall, you break my heart, then steal my heart. Why must you toy with me so? Nice swing there.
  24. What did Sutton just say? That was the worst play on words I've ever heard. Why does he persist on doing this crap?
  25. Ok, this ex Beach Boy has an ERA of 7.30. If this isn't an ideal time to score a run or two, I don't know what is.
