The Brewers will sign Randy Wolf. Book it. The more interesting question is what else they'll be able to do to solidify their rotation.

Ok, how has no one linked this yet? It's so evil because you just can't stop listening http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif We used to clear house parties back in college with this gem.

I'm issuing you a strike for blasphemy. Why is this in blue?
  4. Riebes24
Ok, that CC strikeout of Pujols brought me out of the woodwork. WOW.

Love is not a strong enough word...

Well if Cameron can get on base at a .800 clip, we should score some runs http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I just have to add that patience is sexy.

    Nice work Rydogg.

I don't really feel like doing it, but someone should post a Seal picture next to Mike Cameron. Dead ringers.

Bill Hall vs. Reds = never in doubt

Time for our best player to get us the lead

If you don't bunt there though, you don't pinch hit counsell.

Dumb play that works out for Votto - that guy's killing us

I would not be happy if I were a Twins fan. From my perspective, I don't even think I'd be happy with that package for Sheets let alone Santana.

Barret is pretty much the last thing this team needs. He's a better hitter than Estrada, but his defense is just as bad. Give me a Yadier Molina type next year - lousy hitter, unbelievable behind the plate. We have enough sticks in our lineup to compensate for a light hitting, stud defensive catcher.

I religiously updated rosters for MVP 05 on PS2 and still absolutely love playing the game. I haven't updated rosters since early July, so I have a little catching up to do, but if anyone would like them, send me a message and a PS2 card and I'll give you the rosters. I can guarantee you they are very realistic and edited down to the last player on every roster, and many players at the AAA, AA, and A levels http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif.

I think he had a good game last May sometime too. And yet no mention of that?

Capellan's not very good. His ceiling was never as high as some would have liked to believe, and he still hasn't developed a dependable breaking ball. This thread, if actually serious, reminds me of the couple of posters who thought it necessary to rub in the face of Brewer fans that thought JDLR was garbage that after about 3 weeks of the season he was 3-1 with a 3.40 ERA or something of that nature. A brief look at his numbers now will confirm Melvin did the right thing, just like he did by sending Capellan out of here.

Folks I give you your 2002 Milwaukee Brewers Wow, thanks a lot adamb. Now I have horrible nightmares to look forward to tonight. Some of those names literally make me shudder in disgust.

Never make trade for young Atlanta Braves pitchers or their pitching prospects," and it would include a collage of Damian Moss, Horacio Ramirez, Odalis Perez, Jose Capellan, and, in the very center, Bruce Chen. You forgot Dan Meyer, the next coming of Mark Mulder. I totally agree with your post - never trade for a Braves pitching "prospect" and expect him to be a solid Major Leaguer, because they've already dismissed him as a bust.

www.mvpmods.com/Forums/vi.../f=20.html I used to use this one for PS2, but I'm not sure how helpful it will be with Xbox. It's worth a shot.

My ideal scenario would be to see Austin Kearns and Ray King come aboard, but I'm not sure Washington would want to part with Kearns after signing him to an extension this winter. Still, it seems like Kearns is more of a platoon player, basically a much better Mench. He has a .956 OPS vs. LHP, and he's hitting over .300 on the road. To make it happen, I would offer something like Zack Jack, Sarfate and Iribarren. Not sure if that would be appealing enough, but if not, substitute Dillard for Jackson. Mench would then be DFA'd.

Trevor Hoffman, Russell Branyan, I salute you.
  24. Riebes24
RUSSELL! (Sorry, that was worth a 1 line post)

If the question is would I give up Gallardo for Cabrera, the answer is probably yes. But would Melvin do it? I don't see how he could. Like you said, in approximately 2 years, Cabrera will sign a 6-8 year deal worth 15-20 per. The Brewers can't do that, and even for that year and a half he would be making a hefty sum. Gallardo is dirt cheap for 3 or 4 years, depending on how he does, and may end up being our best SP.
