That's something that a little league manager who works 9-5 doesn't do. You had all day. come on Counsell.
-
Brewers bench is pretty good. Pina McKinney Vogelbach Robertson Bradley. Stearns gets some credit here so far.
-
This Cubs team is very interesting with all of the contract situations and such. If they don't get it together they could be in for a long hot summer. They have some pieces to sell.
-
Glad for Freddy. Now hope we see Williams of last year tonight.
-
pinch hitting a guy hitting 087 is not ideal
-
McKinney needs to get a look with an offense struggling. Throw him in left with Yelich out.
-
If you are Stearns and you have Peralta Burnes and Woodruff to throw in a series you can't let offense keep you out of the playoffs. Go find a bat to buy.
-
Baez looks terrible. He is loosing money by the day if you ask me.
-
Hiura is making Rickie Weeks look like Joe Morgan
-
Bradley batting 5 and Omar 7 is another head scratcher from Counsell.
-
Tommy Edman is a pain
-
With it's pitching all this team really needs is Yelich to be Yelich and then Garcia and Cain to be good. Add in Omar and Shaw looking better things could be interesting.
-
Vogelbach is a nice bench bat. Guy has pretty good since being picked up.
-
One of the reason I hated the Bradley sign is he can't hit. Now if a guys going good like Cain he has to sit a day so the round robin stays in effect. It's one thing to have a bench outfielder like Taylor. Another alltogether to have four starters. Ugh.

This game was like a million Cards Brewers losses over the years. Brewers can't get any big hits. Can't get through the late innings with the pen. Poorly managed. The bottom half of this roster is terrible and over the course of 6 months you can't hide that. Trading Arcia so we can watch Robertson and Urias feels like a mistake.
-
All you need to know is a guy who didn't make the team and was out of baseball got the save yesterday. Bottom line is they have two studs in the rotation and in the pen everyone else is below average. The offense is a joke. Trouble is on the horizon.
-
Bullpen isn't good if Williams is just a regular dude. Everyone else is blah. Knebel would look right about now.
-
Yardley stinks but that was a little league mistake. Wong must be hurt again. Ugh. Woodruff and Burnes are going to win about five games each at this rate.
-
Am I the only one who thinks the Burnes story is kinda under reported?? The guy comes up is great in helping us get to the playoffs. The next year he basically is the worst pitchers in baseball and has to be sent to exile island. Then comes back and is now basically unhittable and one of the five best pitchers in baseball. Outside of Halladay who else has done this??
-
Yelich is not a good defender.
-
The thing with Hiura is he can't hit a fastball. Young guys who come up struggling with off speed can learn to lay off adjust. If you can't hit a fastball you just can't hit.
