  1. Is anyone seriously thinking that Granderson against a lefty was not a better option? Counsell is nuts.
  2. Brewers have two hitting coaches and cannot teach making contact. How is this team even here?
  3. I'll say again sitting Pina today is madness. There is no explanation for a catcher being unable to play two games in a row. None.
  4. Pina sitting after gunning out two runners is madness. Arcia also. Perez has provided zero in September. You cannot make a spare part into a main part. Craig continues to make this mistake.
  5. I also wonder why we keep taking Aguillar out of close games when you need a big swing?? Who else benches the guy 4th in the league in rbi?? Shaw isn't that much better defensively.
  6. Yep. I can't believe a few were defending that. It made no sense then and looks even worse now. If Keon Broxton is who you need to send up for your biggest scoring chance when you're carrying 14 position players, you screwed up. There was and is no defense for this move leading off a 0-0 game in the third inning. It's like Craig figured Rockies suck so we won't need him.
  7. What are saving Granderson and his professional ab's for also?? Him or Keon is a no brainer regardless of what hand the guy throws with.
  8. Yeah the pitching issue is now a problem but having Perez and Shaw and Broxton be unable to put a ball in play against unknown pitchers is the killer. Not shocking though as it's happened all year. Doesn't appear as if it's been addressed in any meaningful way.
  9. Since they went bullpen games they had to carry extra pinch hitters and double switch guys. The downside of not having true starting pitchers. I get that but this is what I was afraid of especially if you can't use Hader back to back games. I cannot recall another team using 11 in a 5 games series lately. Will have to check on Brave and Dodgers but going to Coors field with 11 is asking for trouble.
  10. They will be pinch hitting early and often with these bullpen games so extra bat makes sense. Cedeno is a big surprise to me but Williams also could have helped. Hopefully no long extra innings type games because 11 pitchers in Coors could get short fast.Counsell will need to restrain himself a bit. Also Hader better be able to go back to back.
