    It feels like those two could have been the backbone of a Skubel deal. Add two more pieces and make it happen. Nobody would be complaining if that was the get back.

    Like I said before if you aren't going to move on from Yelich you aren't going to be going anywhere. Trades or not.

    One thing is true that stands out today the Cubs think they can catch the Brewers. They are all in and Brewers will have to really get it going to hold them off.

    Not getting a bat or two is the real crime today. Nothing else really matters in the end. The Dodgers have good pitching and come playoff time we will need hitting.

    Murphy is not someone I trust to manage the juggling that may have come with adding a bat. If you're not willing to bench Yelich I don’t see how that bat plays.

    This is why I never understand waiting until the last minute with these deals. The sense of desperation Arnold felt apparently led to this. Not super excited to lose these two guys. Finding out Romero is hurt just makes it worse. I do like May but not that much. It feels like execs are sick of hearing about Arnold and aren't interested in helping him kick the ass of there teams.

    Part of the problem with everyone praising your farm system is other teams think that you don't need this guy and that guy. Trying to fleece you. Don't give in Arnold unless it's a difference making bat and you're willing to move on from Yelich.

    A lot of the issues imo with the offense is the lineup. If you can't hit guys who aren't hitting anywhere but 1-4 and the guys who are 6-9 then you're not going to get anywhere. You can't be Mr accountable and then turn around and let Yelich and Contreras be godfather into the lineup like they are red hot..
