really strange that there are so many who are not giving Counsell credit. Dont get me wrong, managers are fair game but how he has handled our pitching has been phenomenal.

Arcia is better than sogard Sogard shouldnt even be in the majors. But we have nobody else to fill out the 40 man. Like Bandy, Im sure Stearns will get a decent fill-in before the playoffs.

Im not a prophet but we lost today. We dont have any days off this week so he gave aguliar a scheduled day off yesterday and gave 3 starters the day off today. Not sure why our starters, if healthy, only play 160 games or less when other teams have their starters in for longer. But i disagree with others about throwing a game, we arent throwing any games. Many player contracts in the mlb have participation clauses and attendance clauses, maybe management doesnt want to hit those bonus clauses? At any rate, bandy has to play. He is awful but we have zero depth there so it is what it is. We have to pick up a "solid" known starting pitcher by august (like astros did last year and won a world series).

he lost his arm actually 2 years ago. But Counsel loves him. Our last two games that we lost were the result of logan. He is so awful that most of us shut the game off when he went in. We finally got rid od drake to the Tribe for $100,000, maybe the tribe will want Logan back. It cant hurt to ask. $50,000? At any rate, i doubt he stays with us. It does limit Counsel if we get rid of Logan unless we can stretch what we have. Yesterday, We could have only pitched hader till the 8.2 mark and allowed Knoeble to finish and then brought in hader today for another inning. How do you know Counsell "loves him"? Are you in his head, do you have a plant in the clubhouse? That is so BS. Also, learn to spell Corey Knebel. you have a point. I dont know if Counsel loves him. My comment wasnt literal and admittedly i was venting. We will know I guess if Logan is somehow on the team in June. I just think Counsel had other options but with our starter only going 4.1 innings, presumable due to pitch count, maybe Counsel felt he was in a jam. At any rate, my spelling sucks so grammar police beware. k?

Hader is much more valuable where he is. He can shut down games that matter. And we dont have to use him in blowouts or bad losses. Amazing Credit to not only stearns but Counsel. The only thing is if he wants to start but he seems pretty selfless and a team player.

The great results of the pen have been spoiling us. This is more how typical pens work. Good days and not so good days. Logan is a proven solid MLB pitcher. Probably still working out the rust. I'l give him the benefit of the doubt. This is the perfect spot for him to get work. Meh, I could take Logan or leave him, he's not as proven solid as you'd think, just been around a long time. There isn't much margin for errorBut he has been proven pretty solid at retiring left handed batters. As long as that's all we plan for, I agree, he should get better at that and be given some time. Logan lost some velocity from his younger years and really has been awful the last few years. He shouldnt see any playing time except if we are losing by 3-5 runs or winning by at least 4. Otherwise, as I said the other day, Suter is doing everything we are asking. Couldnt believe prior to yesterday's performance that there was so much hate against him. He is a keeper!

Our offense is being carried early on by Shaw, Cain, Yelich, Aguilar. It's going to be interesting to see how playing time shakes out when Thames comes back, don't forget he was hitting extremely well before his injury as well. with santana heating up, we good. Give Braun about 40 games to heal after thames comes back. But we will still be sitting thames or aguilar unless shaw has more planned sabatticals.

I suspect we are keeping Braun off the DL because we can use his DH bat against Minny on Friday.

because Counsel gives them planned scheduled days off. Shaw was on fire in Colorado as he came out of a slump so when the reporter asked Counsel why he pulled Shaw out of the lineup, Counsel said it was his scheduled day off as if it was in stone. Dunno but one possibility is that the union contract has some floater holidays in there and if thats the case then Shaw must have put in for the day off.

That and letting the pitcher hit only to pull him a few outs later. Don't understand why Counsell and the front office have such ridiculous mental blocks in those two things because they're pretty good otherwise. i didnt understand that one either but when he pulled shaw out, that depleted his ph options later. Shaw should have been on 2nd but the pinch runner wasnt much faster than shaw anyways. This team is young and soft. Other teams have had many of their starters play 39 of 40 games. Our manager gives planned days off like we have good fill in's or a deep bench. I get giving braun time off, i think we should move him. He lost his passion after his back surgery and just isnt healthy enough at this level at his age. An American League team could use him at DH.

I wouldnt count on it. But with Anderson out and Sutter in the pen there isnt anyone else. Thankfully, Peralta gave us a great game. With nelson, anderson, thames, braun out we are still in 1st place.

not sure about that. Logan been a complete failure for 2 years now but what other lefties do we have since hader isnt available? Give credit to Arizona and also realize some guys in our pen arent the best. At least we got $100,000 for drake.

Wow, this may be the season. Alot of parity but our bullpen is the diffence maker.

alot of posters here are just having unnecessary "Barbie tantrums" Arcia is a keeper. Also the trades and pickups have been amazing by stearns. We look better this year than last year.

suter delivered. He is the best #4 we have right now and with our closer back all we need are 5 good or decent innings. We are young and if we get to the playoffs this year then we will contend for the next 5 years. Its goin to be a fun year and if we are competing, we will prolly pick up a player later in the year. First priority is a #1 pitcher.
