I don't like the idea because of JJ specifically, and that being something specific he is attempting to avoid (and that has caused some questions here as well). Welcome to the board.

They are the traditional home/road split hard..... I'm not scared at Miller Park - but we do need to take care of business on the home turf. I'd love to get the first 2! Our guys have the stuff, and if i recall correctly we have hit their bullpen this year. You can dislike Blackmon because of the weedy bush he calls a beard.... I like our chances in the series. Peralta will be the unsung hero surprise starting game 2 with a GEM, and helping close out game 4 in extra innings shutting them down in the 10th til the offense comes through in the 11th. I like Brewers in 4 (i said 5 earlier but the more i think about it - i'm thinking 4 games will do it)

I mean, he hit .277 last year. Your point isn't lost ... but the kid can hit a bit, he just couldn't get out of his own head this year. Hopefully he is good to go the next few weeks. Go Crew! That , my friend, is why he is so frustrating!!! It's like when Carlos Gomez got power happy after hitting one out. You just hope to god they remember to tone it back and work on contact! He CAN be a stud on both sides of the ball, just has to calm down his mechanics at the plate - to then help with repeating the same swing/swing path each time... better chance at success that way!

I third the Freddy train. He has the stuff to handle the Rockies big boys. He needs to be at the very least on the roster for this series.

Can somebody glue his feet down? If they did we would see a lot more games like Monday... I'm just saying... lol. Tip of the cap to him for sticking with it this year. But if he only changed his approach and footwork, he could hit .280+ in a season....

As much as I thought a Cubs/Brewers DS would be awesome..... I really love the matchup vs. Colorado. We have the advantage in the pen overall, and they dont have any starters that terrify me. Their offense is nice, but not the same on the road as at home. It is important to get the home games in this series. Even though, we did have that fantastic series win in Colorado this year. Our offense will be just as happy to play at Coors as theirs. Should be fun. Brewers in 5.

Him as a Blue Jay still is cringe worthy to this day. Granted i was only 9 when that happened.. but... still... BARF Not Sal Bando's finest moment. Those mid-90s Brewer teams were an absolute mess. When we were trotting out Steve Sparks as an ace... we may have had a problem! And every trade they made when they sent players away (Sheffield, Vaughn, etc) we clearly showed that as far as prospecting we stunk at that as well.... haha. Marc NEW-FIELD of dreams.... more like nightmares.

The NLDS game 1 and 2 were on a Saturday and Sunday, game 5 was on a Friday. The NLCS started on a Sunday. I was there for all of them, I couldn't recall! Thank you! When were the games in 08 do you recall? I remember one during the middle of the day during the week I thought it was? What a dark series that was... barf.

i would love that - as i will be traveling up from TN this weekend, trying to convince the wife to let the kids out of school friday so we can make the FRI game...

could have been worse. Not much different from what we had in 08 and 11 IIRC.... but we played more so on the weekend then didnt we (it seemed)?

    AMEN!

went back and watched some of the good points again last night before bed... and holy cow... what a game, what a week, and season! I'm super excited for Thursday.... just sucks its 2 days away lol, but glad we get the extra rest - it'll be helpful I am sure. We just snatched the division , from the Cubs, on their turf, this non-rivalry, them thinking they had the division in the bag, and nobody else giving us a chance. Think about that for a minute. Wow.

This is remarkable , the odds they overcame. With no ace.... With Santana and Knebel and Arcia disappearing for half or most the year. Nelson down and out all year.... I mean come on. Wow !!! Best team in the NL.
