  1. It is time to offer Prince that 10-year $100,000,000 contract. Actually, we would be ripping him off the way it looks with that deal When did Wes get that curveball? I don't remember him having any success with a curveball in Milwaukee.
  2. I really didn't enjoy listening to Daron. He used too many superlatives and struggled with facts. I am tired of watching Claudio walk the tightrope. He had two good starts and some lucky ones followed. But even when he wasn't giving up a lot of runs he was killing the bullpen because he couldn't get through the 6th. I would be for putting Carlos in that spot. If we bring up Yo maybe it should be in the bullpen to start in order to keep his inning total down. Although I don't know if the bullpen would be easier or harder on his arm. We all know that Wes has trouble throwing strikes. So why are we swinging at the first pitch?
  3. I think that the Braves loaded the bases against Turnbow on one swing. Somebody has to be able to get an out. I know that we could have used Cordero for 5 outs today, but his arm will fall off if he has to do that every game. Bottom line, we need to find Coco some help. Villanueva has done a good job. Wise seems to be able to pitch to about 2 guys every 3 days. From there, we just don't know. I think that maybe we need to limit Turnbow to two days in a row. I hope that DM is trying to use our outfield surplus to find some more bullpen help. Chris Spurling can go back to Nashville now.
  4. The winning streak begins. I look forward to a good night's sleep.
  5. I am pro-Corey Hart. I think that if he plays he will hit. I wonder if playing Tony Gwynn more hasn't hurt us? It seems like we have a lot of outfielders who play one day and get two off, etc.. It is tough to be consistent under those circumstances.
  6. We are not allowed to pinch-hit for position players. Watching the Brewers when you have expectations can be excruciating. I think I am just going to tie my big bag of rocks on to me and jump off of the pier into Lake Michigan.
  7. It is so hard to score right now, it is as if we have to go around the bases twice.
  8. In his two at bats today I think Weeks would have swung, and tried to pull it, if the pitcher had thrown to first. We need to think opposite way against this guy.
  9. I think that we are still have a tough schedule. We need to get some leads. We need some table-setters. When in doubt, get back to the fundamentals. Things are never as good as they seem when things are going great, things are never as bad as they seem when things are going wrong (2002 is the exception)
  10. I still think that I should be GM. I would combine Sal Bando's keen eye for amateur talent with Dean Taylor's abilities to make the perfect trade and spend wisely on free agents.
  11. I have this feeling that Craig Counsell will be starting at 3rd tonight.
  12. I would nominate me. I need a job.
  13. If we need to Ryan Braun to solidify 3rd base I would hate to think that we wouldn't bring him up because of the super 2 rule in a year in which we are contending.
  14. I think that Capuano is hurt. It may be Yo time sooner than expected. Tony Graffanino is playing like someone who doesn't like it in Milwaukee. He may soon get his wish. Does Tampa Bay need an infielder? I think Graffy thought that the ball was fouled off the foot. Still not a good excuse.
  15. It was right around this time of year when the 1982 Brewers got hot during a west coast road trip. This team is capable of being successful out west as well.
  16. Some people are getting too emotional here. It is possible to pull for the Brewers and be frustrated with them. We do need to re-evaluate some things, especially with our line-up. We need to reward people who work the count and get on base. I also think that Claudio Vargas has been walking a tightrope and is in the beginning of falling off. He reminds me of Jamey Wright.
  17. Dear Brewer hitters, Singles are good. Getting ahead in the count is good. Getting walks are good. Watch the Twin hitters.
  18. Wouldn't a Cirillo/Branyan platoon at third look good right now?
  19. We got them right where we want them!
  20. I need to figure how to put images in these posts. Serously, we are OK. No need to panic. I still think that we have too much dead weight in the bullpen. I would be for getting rid of Spurling and Dessens, while adding C******n and Zach Jackson in order to create more versatility in the bullpen.
  21. At his best, 4 outs was a lot to ask of Turnbow. I still think that he has value. I hope that he feels the same way.
  22. Why didn't have Turnbow face the righty and the switch-hitters to start the inning, and then have Shouse face Utley if need be? The big problem here is that we didn't try to win in the 8th inning. Some other point was being made, don't know what it was.
