  1. Hostetler is expected to begin throwing live to hitters for the first time since surgery in mid-July. The hope is for him to return to game action at some point in August if all continues to progress well for the right-hander.
  2. Rijo has already made it to the Brewers Arizona complex and so that move should be coming very soon as he is ready to join the ACL squad.
  3. “I can say that Hernández is healthy; the development list cannot be used for injuries, even day-to-day situations. Unfortunately, that’s all I have to share at this point.” (My update from April 10 in the injury thread) Hernández is still at home in Nicaragua as the articles elude to. He is doing well and is eager to pitch again, but does not know when or where that will be.
  4. No injury- perhaps look towards Cooper Pratt’s absence from 3/29-4/5 as a similar situation? (purely speculation)
  5. I will look into that, but I probably should have clarified much earlier that if a player has been out less than a week and has not been placed on the IL, that either means it’s just something that is day-to-day or the organization simply doesn’t know severity/what the plan is yet so I typically won’t have much info at this point in time either way.
  6. Following up on this: Payne will return to the lineup on Wednesday.
  7. LHP Frank Cairone will begin throwing live to hitters starting next week and is expected to make his professional debut towards the end of the month.
  8. C Isaís Chavez was slated to make his stateside debut in 2026, but he was placed on the restricted list just before the start of the ACL campaign. For some added context, it is not a visa issue for Chavez, and the hope is that he will still be able to take the field at some point this season.
  9. I don’t have anything noteworthy on Payne. He has been dealing with some lingering issues in his lower half throughout the year (calf and hamstring) and I’ve been told that a trip to the IL should not be necessary. As for RHP Cole Phillips, he was originally scheduled to begin throwing bullpens in April and that was delayed. He is still hoping for a midseason pro debut, but that timeline has likely been pushed from before the all-star break to sometime early in the second half.
  10. Made has just been a little under the weather, no concern there. I will have to check into what’s going on with Braylon Payne.
  11. Dinges has been dealing with a shoulder impingement and will resume throwing next week which will require a short buildup to get back behind the dish in games.
  12. Frías did indeed return to the lineup tonight and is currently 2-2 with a stolen base for the ACL squad in the 3rd inning.
  13. I appreciate the kind words! Frías exited Tuesday’s game after rolling his ankle (I believe). I know it was mostly precautionary and they have held him out to let some lingering soreness subside. As of tonight, he expects to be back on the field on Tuesday.
  14. DSL rosters likely won’t be finalized until around June 1. Ricki Moneys will be one of the most exciting names to follow there this season!
  15. Tobias’ timeline remained true from my mid-March update. Should be back at Single-A in a couple of weeks.
  16. Unfortunately, there’s still no timetable for Adams’ return. The thought was that it would just be a couple of weeks, but it has not progressed as well as originally hoped. He’s still in a wrist brace at this point. 2025 17th round pick RHP Luke Roupe is nearing a return, however, and closing in on his pro debut as he threw live to hitters for the first time yesterday. He should be ready to be activated in the next week or two for the ACL squad.
  17. Elbow inflammation for Meccage. It seems as though he avoided anything too serious, but he’s looking at a return to the mound in a month or two.
  18. Details of his visit to the neurologist will remain private. As for his status, it remains the same as my last update. I’ll reiterate that Peña is fine and could be playing right now, but the organization wants to know if there is a deeper issue that caused the incident or, equally possible, that resulted from the incident before a return to the field.
  19. RHP Jayden Dubanewicz is ready to head back to full-season ball, he is joining the Wilson Warbirds and should be activated by Monday.
  20. As I mentioned the day after the incident, whether it was simply dehydration/overheating or whatever, the situation had escalated to a very serious place and an extended absence was certainly a possibility if not imminent. Peña is doing fine, but the organization is going to do everything in its power to figure out if there is a deeper issue, how to address it, and ensure that this sort of thing does not happen again. It’s just out of an abundance of caution for a 19-year-old’s life, not just his playing career.
  21. Unfortunately, Tommy John surgery for Lin. The right-hander will resume light throwing in November and should make his stateside debut in the first half of 2027.
  22. Nothing too noteworthy, but he is very close to a rehab assignment. It’s been a slow and steady buildup from his first bullpen sessions throwing max effort in January as Knoth did not throw live to hitters until April 2. No setbacks that I’m aware of, just the organization being careful with him.
  23. 2B Moises Polanco is a late addition to the ACL Brewers roster, arriving today in Arizona.
  24. 2B Moises Polanco is a late addition to the ACL Brewers roster, arriving today in Arizona.
  25. Yes, Cairone is expected to be ready at some point during the ACL season. He is looking to make his pro debut sometime late May, early June.
