Since Christmas they scored four goals or more once in seven games. Meanwhile they've given up four or more in four out of seven games. In a bad place right now while playing the cream of the conference. One thing we don't have that I assume he'll address is some size on defense. Seems like most of the rest of the Big ten have big defensemen that clog up lanes and have more reach than we do.

I think the freshmen have kind of hit the wall as part of it and they're playing the two best teams in the Big ten I'm back-to-back weekends. I know Michigan's ranked ahead but I don't think they're near as good as Michigan State or Penn State right now.

These second half collapses are getting to be a bad habit. All three seasons with Hastings have been bad finishes to season

I'm sure he wants to start but Carrington might possibly be the best sixth man in the conference And it allows him to go against usually substitutes from the opponent.

I have to give kudos to the Wisconsin women's team. They upset Nebraska at home and are now 11 and 1 at home on the season. Outside of a real clunker at Maryland they've been reasonably competitive with everybody.

I don't care about the locker room stuff. But I do think a handshake that's not a complete joke is a minimum requirement for both coaches.
