Mertz has been terrible so far.
-
Stop starring down the receiver.
-
Ref talks like a politician. Alot of words to say nothing.
-
That kid has a leg.
-
I fully expect PSU to hit a big one before half.
-
Ugg.....what a crappy half offensively.
-
He threw to Ferguson on 3rd, he wasn’t open. Going back and looking at the reply he really had nowhere to go with it on 3rd. I think both of those were sucker looks to get Mertz to think a certain route would be open but after the snap the dropped a guy into the route.

Penn State has a good punter. He has been bombing them.
-
It was an issue last year as well. Great arm but not good at reading defenses.
-
Mertz has to stop staring down his receivers.
-
No Berger sighting yet.
-
When Bostad was the Oline coach. With Rudolf... Not sure much.
-
He wasn't even arguing that much. Wow. It always seems that worse the call the shorter the leash.
-
The best game we have had called all year was the other day by the part timer Alex Tosi.
-
So this is YOUR fault.
-
Maybe ever.
-
Who's going to be the sacrificial position player to pitch in this one?
-
Pretty much.
-
Still might get one.
-
That should be a home run
-
That was a swing.
-
I recently read an article about Major League umpires and that the younger guys consistently grade out better on calling balls and strikes and I'm sure it's somewhat due to vision and reflexes that diminish with age.
-
That should have been interference on the hitter. He stepped right onto the plate in front of the catcher.
-
I'm not very optimistic The crew is going to win this one.
-
Thanks. I thought he seemed like he was pretty solid behind the plate last night. Probably the best game I saw all year by a Plate ump.
