  1. RHP Miqueas Mercedes makes his 2nd start of the week (3 IP, 0 R, 6 Ks on Tuesday), as Low-W Warbirds hope to end their series in Delmarva on a good note. CF Jose Anderson leads the Carolina League with 19 RBIs in 19 games.
  2. After throwing 29 pitches in Wednesday’s contest, RHP Quinn Priester makes his 2nd rehab start, as AAA Nashville needs a win at Charlotte to salvage a 4-3 series defeat. DH Eddys Leonard has a 9-game hitting streak, with 3 homers and 6 RBIs in his last 2 games.
  3. RHP Brett Wichrowski won Tuesday’s game in relief (4.2 IP, 3 R, 5 Ks) and AA Biloxi needs a win today to capture their home series against Rocket City 4-2. 1B Blake Burke has a 20-game on-base streak and has doubled in 5 of his last 7 games.
  4. RHP Jason Woodward’s Tuesday outing was cut short due to weather (0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K). Now he can help cap off a 5-1 series win for High-A Wisconsin at Fort Wayne. 3B Andrew Fischer (.939 OPS in 76 PAs) has a 7-game hitting streak.
  5. Old friends who’ve recently signed in the independent Frontier League: - RHP Sam Gardner - Gateway Grizzlies - RHP Aaron Rund - Washington Wild Things - RHP Miles Langhorne - Sussex County Miners - RHP Tanner Shears - Schaumburg Boomers
  6. Dasan Brown is our primary CF in Biloxi. It had looked like Adamczewski might HAVE to start the season in AA, but then we signed Hurtubise (now in AAA), Adams, Brown and Keith. And now we’ve added Mark Coley as well. And we also have Kay-Lan Nicasia on the Development List.
  7. The AAA Sounds can sweep today’s doubleheader in Charlotte behind RHP Garrett Stallings (1.98 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 7.2 K/9 in 13.2 IP). RF Jacob Hurtubise and 2B Freddy Zamora join the lineup in place of our 2 hottest bats.
  8. Ethan Murray is 4-for-4, with EVs of 107.5, 108.0, 100.7 and 101.6mph. We acknowledge receipt of Mr. Murray’s notice.
  9. 19-year old RHP Tyler Renz (1.93 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 9.0 K/9 in 14.0 IP) has stepped up as Low-A Wilson’s top starting pitcher early in the season and they need a strong effort to cut their 3-1 series deficit at Delmarva. 1B Frederi Montero has 4 hits and 5 RBIs over his last 2 games.
  10. The AA Shuckers get a second chance to clinch a home series win over Rocket City tonight, with 20-year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez (3.77 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 7.5 K/9 in 14.1 IP) set for his 4th start. 2B Dylan O’Rae leads the Southern League in hits (25 - tied with Jesus Made), is 2nd in stolen bases (14 - Made is 3rd) and 3rd in walks (15 - tied with Made).
  11. Not easing Quinn back in, at least in my opinion:
  12. LHP Robert Gasser (4.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, 15.0 K/9 in 9.0 IP) returns for his first action since April 10, as AAA Nashville needs to sweep today’s doubleheader at Charlotte to even up the series 3-3. LF Eddys Leonard (.987 OPS in 84 PAs) has an 8-game hitting streak and bashed 2 homers yesterday.
  13. The High-A Timber Rattlers aim for a 5th consecutive win at Fort Wayne, with RHP Braylon Owens (6.10 ERA, 1.84 WHIP, 14.8 K/9 in 10.1 IP) getting today’s start. 19-year old CF Braylon Payne has 8 hits and 7 walks over his last 5 games, including 3 homers.
  14. Wisconsin is resting Pena, Payne, Bitonti and Dickinson today and only managed an Adamczewski walk the first time thru the order. No biggie. Second time thru: Adamczewski walk, Dinges single, Fischer oppo taco 3-run homer. Bryce Meccage has tossed 3 shutout frames on 1 hit and 1 walk. Wisconsin leads 3-0 in the 4th inning.
  15. Jaron DeBerry walked the first 3 batters of the game and barely escaped the 4-run 1st inning (31 pitches). He then started the 2nd inning with a single, balk and walk, but escaped that jam and kept battling to nearly got thru 4 frames with just the 4 runs allowed. He exited after 3.2 IP, leaving 2 baserunners for Patricio Aquino, who issued 2 walks and balk and allowed a single for 3 fourth inning runs. In between all that, doubles by Keith, Eduardo Garcia and Coley had helped tie the game 4-4 in the 2nd inning. Biloxi now trails 7-4 in the 5th inning.
  16. After allowing a game-tying homer and 2 walks (the latter on a full count ABS challenge which extended the inning), the Sounds discussed and elected to let Crow continue at 87 pitches. That choice didn't work out: 3-run homer. Crow exits at 91 pitches, allowing 8 earned runs. Charlotte 8, Nashville 5 - now in the 5th inning.
  17. A hit-by-pitch and 2 walks put Nashville in business in the 3rd inning and they've capitalized on a Brock Wilken 3-run triple. Jett Williams knocked Wilken in and we lead 5-2.
  18. The Waukesha man hit Coleman Crow’s 2nd pitch of the game out for a solo homer, but Eddys Leonard (.329 AVG, .971 OPS) answered with a solo shot of his own off of Shane Smith in the 2nd inning. Nashville 1, Charlotte 1 in the 2nd.
  19. 20-year old RHP Bryce Meccage did not allow any earned runs in his last 2 starts and now seeks to deliver a series-clinching win for High-A Wisconsin at Fort Wayne. 3B Andrew Fischer has a 6-game hitting streak and bashed 2 homers yesterday.
  20. 19-year old RHP Carlos Carra struck out 7 in his last outing (3 IP, 2 R) and now leads to lead Low-A Wilson to a win at Delmarva to even this week’s series 2-2. CF Pedro Ibarguen has an 8-game on-base streak.
  21. 23-year old RHP Jaron DeBerry (1.80 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 9.6 K/9 in 15.0 IP) aims for his 3rd Win of 2026, as the AA Shuckers look to win a 4th straight at home over Rocket City. SS Jesus Made has 9 hits, 5 walks and 5 stolen bases over his last 5 games.
  22. After his MLB debut last Friday (5.1 IP, 2 R, 4 Ks), RHP Coleman Crow is back at AAA Nashville, who need a win at Charlotte to tie the series 2-2. SS Cooper Pratt needs to snap an 0-for-15 skid.
  23. Five days after Tyler Black returned to AAA Nashville from an injury absence and Pat Murphy speculated on a possible promotion, he's been called up to the Show for his first MLB action since August 2025. And Jordyn Adams is getting the bump up to AAA to bring Nashville back to 11 position players. Is it time for Josh Adamczewski (1.259 OPS in 51 PAs) to get the promotion to AA Biloxi's outfield?
