After missing out on 2-on, nobody out and 2-on, 1-out opportunities in the first two frames, Monile walked and scored on a wild pitch in the third inning, then delivered his first career extra-base hit with a 2-out, 2-run double in the fourth inning. Carra’s only difficult frame came while leading 1-0 in the third inning, as he successfully worked around a leadoff triple (ground out, K, HBP, ground out) to put yet another zero on the board. Garcia’s 3-run blast put the game out of reach at 8-0 in the 6th inning: Every Warbird reached base via hit or walk in the contest, which tends to happen when you deliver 9 hits and draw 15 walks. The middle infield of 2B Luis Lameda and SS Brady Ebel drew a combined 8 walks, with Lameda adding a single and a stolen base. Outfielders Jose Anderson (1-for-4, 2 walks) and Handelfry Encarnacion (1-for-4, double, walk, RBI) also had solid days. Warbirds’ Extras: Coming on in long relief, RHP Tyler Renz (3 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 2 Ks) worked through traffic in his second solid outing of the week, after delivering 5 scoreless innings on Tuesday. The once-struggling Wilson offense is now 4th in the 12-team Carolina League in runs per game (5.18), helped out by a team on-base percentage of .355 that’s second in the league. I feel like this should be gut check time for Wisconsin. They’re too talented to lose 5 of 7 at home to Peoria. Down 3-2 in the bottom of the 5th in this game, with Fischer and Adamcewski leading off the bottom half.

He was assigned to the Blue squad in February. Hopefully in the starting infield tomorrow.

The AA Shuckers can win a 4th straight game and capture the series at Columbus this afternoon behind RHP Manuel Rodriguez (4.74 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 7.8 K/9 in 43.2 IP). 2B Dylan O’Rae leads the Southern League in hits (55) and stolen bases (29).

22-year old JR Ritchie had dominated Nashville early in the season (12.2 IP, 1 R, 12 Ks), but not today as Tyler Black smacked a 106.4mph double, 4 walks followed and Ritchie exited after just 1/3 IP. Old friend Javy Guerra entered and allowed hard-hit RBIs to Jeferson Quero (2-run double) and Freddy Zamora (2-run single). Nice 6-0 early Nashville lead.

23-year old RHP Jaron DeBerry has 27 Ks over his last 3 starts and seeks to help the AA Shuckers complete today’s doubleheader sweep and take a 3-2 series lead at Columbus. 3B Jheremy Vargas enters as the sole lineup change.

Bishop Letson turned in his longest outing (and second strong start) of 2026 (5.1 IP, 1 R (0 ER), 2 H, 4 BB, 6 Ks) and the Biloxi offense blew open a 2-0 game with a 7-run penultimate inning to even their series at 2 games apiece at Columbus.
