  1. It’s baseball. I wouldn’t dismiss out of hand. Is it likely. Probably not Next year is a big year for him This year was pathetic. But he’s earned the benefit of the doubt. Let’s hope it’s a one off If the Brewers thought (knew) Yelich’s success was tied to seeing signs from the outfield I don’t think they would’ve given him $215 million. How much did the astros guys sign for and they knew they were doing it

  3. So are we ok in saying that if Milw goes 5-3 this week, they should be in?
  4. Gamel being hurt kinda sucks Peterson again tonight
  5. I made a post in the lineup thread on August 30th noting our actual runs scored per game was 4.00 versus a projected rest of season runs scored per game of 4.84. Actual runs scored per game since August 30th is at 5.05, much closer to the projected rest of season than the actual season results to that point. A pretty good example demonstrating how projections typically have better predictive capabilities than 30 some games of actual results. And playing different players
  6. It was announced that they would have a double header with the Tigers next Monday if those games are needed to determine playoff participants. If they are just needed to determine seeding, though, they won't be played. Great they will beat Detroit by a combined score of 42-1 in that double header
  7. So if my math is right, the Cardinals are going to be 2 games short at the end of this week. Do they have to make those up? OR are we going by winning percentage
  8. They needed the sweep at a minimum this weekend And they did it. A winning record this week and they are in. Might even get in going .500 If they win reds series they are in great shape
  9. It’s hard to hit when your bat isn’t in the hitting zone for very long because you are taking huge uppercuts

  12. Baseball hitters are one trick ponies. They put zero pressure on a defense or a pitcher. You know what you are going to get every time. Of course they have the talent to run into and hit it out the park. But you don’t really need to worry about any strategy. Even with runners on base. You can basically put all fielders on one side of the field and not worry about anything Pitchers don’t really need to worry about base runners that much knowing it is relativeLay easy to strike out 1 or 2 batters in a row I wonder if a franchise will try to be different and go more contact based just to try to be different. Especially when that can’t afford the major sluggers in this era

  15. You pitch devin Williams. Win the game. Worry about the next days later No guarantee that you need him in any of the next few days.
  16. Counsell has been just terrible this year Been great the last two. But cripes this is such a short season and he’s playing it like a 162 game year.
  17. How in the flying you know what can you look this bad against ponce de Leon Come on.
  18. The only question will be will Yelich strike out on a pitch in or out of the zone this inning I say he gets caught looking
  19. Whispers that Yelich was doing some sort of sign stealing too I hope not
