To that point, I'm still not sure Melvin would trade Prince even if they're well under .500. I think he will sink or swim with the team he assembled and has resigned himself to the fact he'll get his draft picks for Prince when he signs elsewhere. A Prince trade sure could fill some glaring holes for us though (namely SS/CF)
Honestly, Greinke looks very average to me this season. I'm 10x more impressed with Shaun Marcum. At this point, very disappointed in him. He has spurts where he looks great, then regresses and gives up hits in bunches...
And Boggs is a terrible hitting fielder. They balance out. Goodness. This does not even pass the common sense test. It isn't even close. If it was, Gallardo would be pinch hitting all the time.Let's look it it this way...which guy from the bullpen would you trust over Yo for another inning?
Good to see Gomez sat down. There comes a point where one's offense is so bad that no matter how good a player's defense is, it still doesn't make up for the pathetic bat.
Doesn't there come a point where, no matter how good of defense you play, your bat is so horribly bad that you play yourself out of the lineup? Sheesh Gomez.
