  1. The tail end of their bullpen is nothing to sneeze at -- Marshall and Marmol are filthy.
  2. We definitely need to improve the SS position. He's come worse than advertised...which is incomprehensible based on what we heard of him when he arrived. He's easily in the bottom 5 of all regular major league starters -- in all of baseball.
  3. He's got a little Edmonds in him. ...Makes the ordinary play look remarkable.
  4. Another 0-fer for McGehee today. RR is dumb if he doesn't move him down a few slots in the order. Teams will just start walking Prince and feast on Casey.
  5. Kotsay shut some people up today. He's hit some balls really hard and has had great ABs.
  6. Because I'm 110% sure Nieves will be playing tomorrow and no way in hell he runs him out there 2 days in a row. This is what having a #4 pitcher with a personal catcher does to your team.
  7. Apparently, Mat Gamel is the likely DH when the Red Sox series begins... http://brewersbeat.mlblog...uld-join-club-this-week/
  8. I'd rather have Corey Hart in CF than Kotsay. If this is merely to keep Kotsay fresh and get him a start one day per week, I'm fine with that. But why does it have to be in CF? Is RR trying to turn back the clock?
  9. The problem I see with a Counsell-Yuni platoon is it takes Counsell off of the bench and weakens our options for late inning PH opportunities. What's worse is it makes Betancourt absolutely useless for this team because there's no way he is a viable pinch hitter late in games when you know against tough relief pitchers he's sitting back down after swinging at the first pitch. At this point, Melvin better be working the phones. Yuni isn't as bad as advertised coming in...he's worse.
  10. RR must believe every time a runner is on 1st with 0 outs he must sacrifice him to 2nd. Irregardless of a pitcher batting next. Wow.
  11. RR should keep his foot on the gas here vs. STL as opposed to his counterpart...who prefers the brake pedal.
  12. Hopefully Narvy keeps dealing here even though he's the "weak link" in the Brewers rotation, as Cardinals TV announcer Al Hrabosky said earlier in the game.
  13. Just a terrible inning. Start the inning with men on first and third with 0 outs and end up with a goose egg.
  14. How is it horrible? If the ump made the correct call, he would've been safe. no secondary lead, really bad jump. dogged it at first as well.Ok. I thought you guys were questioning him trying to score on the play. I rewinded the DVR and saw he could've gotten a better jump.
  15. Counsell is making Yuni look even worse with his triple tonight and great eye at the plate. I'm not used to my SS walking...
  16. How is it horrible? If the ump made the correct call, he would've been safe.
  17. Right leg was in on time! Just cost us a run vs. the first place team. Unreal.
  18. The ball is below the knees and the ump is calling them strikes. It seems to be like we've been dealing with a lot of bad umpires calling balls and strikes lately.
  19. Like this lineup. Just because I do not see the names Betancourt, Nieves or Gomez in it. Go Brewers.
