  1. This was one of the 2 games I actually saw us winning this series. The pitching matchup heavily favors the Cubs tomorrow and Thursday could go either way.
  2. I know wins and losses are just another statistic, but Yo really did deserve a W tonight and it's ashamed he got the shaft
  3. Its times like tonight I wished we lived in a big market like NY, PHI or CHI where the media would pepper RR with lots of questions about 8th inning decision making...
  4. It's just pathetic to be sitting here tied after Marco Estrada is summoned for the 8th. Just ridiculous how a guy who barely makes the team is called on as your 8th inning guy with clearly better options out there. He turned from a long-reliever to a setup man overnight? Just nuts.
  5. The guy sucks. So he catches lightening in a bottle for one game and all of a sudden we should all be quiet? Are you his agent or daddy?
  6. Why would WASH intentionally walk Pujols with a man on to give Berkman the opportunity to take the lead with a 3-run jack? Stupid.
  7. It's laughable that a guy with a .288 OBP last year can actually get worse -- so much worse that it drops over 33 points to the mid-.250's this year. The starting SS for your Milwaukee Brewers, folks. Imagine where we'd be with a competent, even average, SS.
  8. You know how Doug Melvin seems to find a goofy statistic to justify a crappy player making the roster. He did it with Yuni to start the season by saying he had more RBI than Hanley Ramirez last year. I don't think even he could come up with a rationale to re-sign him next year.
  9. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/langdon-303930-moreno-angels.html This was a great read. A fan ends up watching the game in Arte Moreno's suite after a case of mistaken identity lands him a pair of tickets in the Owner's Suite. Moreno seems like a class act.
  10. We all know that won't happen. Sometimes I feel teams are too PC with situations like this. Almost afraid to hurt someone's feelings and would rather suck at a position than make a "hard decision" and take a chance with someone else that may produce.
  11. Why even do this? It's so unrealistic.... ...everyone knows Kotsay can't play SS.
  12. There's a 0% chance he will be with Milwaukee next season. Theres talk because of his age he could be the highest paid player on the market. In my opinion it will be a bidding war between the Nationals, Angels, Cubs, and Orioles. Washington has proven to already be susceptible to Agent Boras' demands (see Jayson Werth) and are not afraid to spend big bucks so right now they are my favorite to land him. Anyone but the Cubs...
  13. Maybe Casey will do as he did earlier in the year and win it for us with one swing
  14. Hawkins hasn't exactly had what you might call the best of luck at Wrigley Field in the past...
  15. Trying to set a single-season record for most appearances by a reliever I think. Loe enters...again.
  16. This makes it 100% clear Nieves is on this team to be Wolf's personal catcher. If anyone can refute that, I'd love to hear it.
