  1. I always get nervous with these back-to-back Matt Wise innings. For some reason, they seem to put us behind. Hope I didn't jinx us here.
  2. 'Bout time DD is out. The funny thing is his next outing fans on this board will be calling for the Brewers to resign him and forget all about his BB troubles as they have for the whole season. They'll talk about his numbers over the last two prior years and seem to forget he's a walk machine with a 5+ era. But yet we should give Davis the money and show Tomo the door? What a joke.
  3. What a freaking terrible route to that ball by Jenkins. You HAVE to cut that off. At least he's making up for his lack of fielding skills with his power stroke.
  4. Jenksie's new grip really is helping isn't it? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Props to his brother for changing his whole approach up there at the plate.
  5. Doug Davis absolutely is garbage. He is the most annoying pitcher to watch on the whole team. Nibble, nibble, nibble. All it comes down to is he's not confident in his "stuff" so he thinks if I throw it down the middle, I have no chance. It's not him being stubborn. I think it's him not having confidence in himself so his command is off (most of the time). He's not a pitcher I want back next year. Bring back Ohka. He's got better overall career numbers and he actually throws strikes.
  6. I'd take getting Weeks and Koskie back over just Lee right now. Yeah, cause we were so good with those guys in the lineup. An offensive force, if you will. Even with them, we're sub .500...what's the difference?
  7. El Caballo's gotta be sitting in his hotel room watching MLB extra innings laughing at this offense without him. They need me, they really need me, he would be saying.
  8. I dont have to watch the game to know this team flat out sucks. SUCKS. SUCKS. I am glad I cannot watch this horrible display of "baseball." For Doug Melvin, Attanasio, Yost, or anyone else in the organization who spews the word playoffs from their butts one more time, I will explode. Nothing about this club closely resembles playoffs. Do you see the Cardinals pull this BS? No. This is the frustrating stuff that keeps us mediocre. Runner at 3rd with 1 out and can't get him in. Story of our year.
  9. I didn't have the opportunity (or misfortune, if you will) to watch the game so periodically monitoring the online scoreboards gave me the sense it was a real dud or lackluster game to watch. A hit scattered here and there and never any real momentum on our side. I got the sense the back-to-back jacks took a lot of wind out of our sails. It's Coors Field for god sakes, you would think they'd be able to tack on more than 2 runs.
  10. Bout time Ned starts managing. Good move there bringing in Coco. He throws strikes at least. Let's get that last out so we can all sleep easy tonight.
  11. I'm sorry but Jenkins goes from looking lost to hitting anything thrown to him at random. I'm still waiting for that "hitting anything thrown to him at random" thing to come to fruition. I've only been waiting for 4 months now. What's another 2?
  12. Jenkins is a proven major league hitter, Hart is a minor leaguer with a few major league AB's. Sit him vs lefties, I can live with it since he hasn't been amazing against them at any point his career, but all this talk about yost being an idiot because of some small sample size in hindsight talk isn't doing anyone any good. I can't believe how anyone in their right mind can watch the Milwaukee Brewers and Geoff Jenkins AB's and still argue that he take playing time away from anyone. The guy flat out stinks. I mean stinks as a hitter. He's a K waiting to happen each AB. I know I'm not the only one who's borderline shocked when he doesn't strikeout.
  13. Hey Mench, don't you dare try and make Doug Melvin look like a genius with this one too...come on now, this taking teams to school on trades thing is getting old fast! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. Benny dealing. I sure am impressed with that curveball. Having not seen it in awhile, it makes you forget how truly devastating of a pitch that can be to a hitter when you've got a 93 + mph fastball in your back pocket to pull out too. Let's tack on some insurance runs here. I want to see a blowout for a change.
  15. He keeps playing like this, I won't be Mench-ining Carlos Lee's name in awhile. Note: I haven't had a corny post in awhile, so this should do.
  16. Good bullpen pitching. One thing to note: Geoff Jenkins is absolutely lost up there at the plate. I haven't been able to watch the Brewers in a week or two having moved to Chicago recently and sorry to say, it's the same old horrible approach from Jenks at the plate. There's no way we'll be a contender with him clogging up one of our power OF spots. He's killing this lineup right now. It's almost like we score runs in spite of Geoff Jenkins. Nice win though.
  17. I'm mad at Bush too. The guy is getting rocked lately. His job is to come in and get outs. He flat out got rocked and Jeremy Burnitz is on my new list of most-hated players in the MLB.
  18. Gwynn should start. Gross stinks out there lately. Put some good speed out there in the leadoff position with Lil Tony and see what the kid can do. It's not like we're hitting the cover off the ball with the guys we have in CF right now.
  19. Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Until we get a non-stupid manager, we're not going anywhere. And it's too bad that there are apparently a lot of people who are too dense to realize this. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was on the fence about Yost before, but I gotta agree. Yeah and if we win 3 or 4 in a row, Ned will be a god again around here. I want him gone too because he's too stubborn, manages with his heart instead of his head, and he really doesn't know how to control pitching changes. In-game managing skills are very questionable too.
  20. Laughable. Yost will sound like a monkey in his press conference after the game.
  21. I think Ned is trying to tell Doug Melvin something here. Give me some decent relief pitching or I'm throwing my starters out there. Just a thought...
  22. Don't worry about it. Barnwell leads off the next inning. We can spot em a few with his big stick providing some insurance at the end.
  23. Good ol Brewers with RISP. That's what separates the contenders from the pretenders. Why does it seem like the Cards always get in the run when its on second? Maybe its just my imagination.
  24. Are these the same ol Brewers who don't score any runs when #15 is out there? We'll see...
  25. I'll say it again...don't blow money on Doug Davis this off-season. He's average. Give me Zach Jack, Eveland, Yo Gallardo, or Villanueva in his spot next year and I will be a very happy man. They'll be just as good or better.
