  1. Typical Brewers baseball. If we give Davis anything this off-season, I will be so mad. I want him out of Milwaukee. I've never liked his nibbling on the mound. He has subpar stuff and is no front-end rotation starter. Fill his spot with Jackson, Villanueva, Eveland or any other suitable party. He is garbage. How 'bout a WALK, Doug? It's your favorite 4-letter word! After the all-star break, buckle up your seatbelts and watch Albert Pujols and the Cards just run away with the division. It won't even be close (at least a 10-15 game margin, they'll have by September's end).
  2. Bucksman, that post is ridiculous, that's all I have to say. And I'm pretty sure we've only lost 2 of 3 so far to the Cubs, not 3 of 4. Please enlighten me...what was so ridiculous about it? I think everything I said was true. Truth hurts sometimes. Brewmann04: (from yesterday's game thread).... guys i sid all along we are a 500 team no better or worse. this is life as a BREWER FAN so FRUSTRATING. WE NEVER SEEMS TO GET OVER THE HUMP. if we lose Tomorrow it be 2 games Under 500 nd that be very dissapointing And why shouldn't myself and brewmann04 think they are a .500 team? Can they get over the hump and stay there or do we always see them regress and fall back under? Take off the homer hats and call a spade a spade. P.S. Last time I checked Ben Sheets was no savior.
  3. This team sucks. Someone said it best in yesterday's game thread...this team is no better than a .500 club. Enough said. We sweep a team and then lose 3 of 4 vs. a scrub team like Chicago. This is horrible ball to watch. Prince isn't seeing the ball right now and is frankly killing us with his weak bat. Besides Lee, we have a bunch of inconsistent hitters and subpar pitching outside of Capuano and Bush as of late. Make a move or just throw in the towel for the year.
  4. MOELLER IS DESIGNATED!!!!!!!!!!! Designated Ned's favorite mini-me as backup catcher with no bat.
  5. Ladies and Gentlemen 3.5 games back in the division, 2.0 right now in the Wildcard.... we officially are in a playoff chase. Who's ready to trade El Caballo now? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. Let's all sit back and envision what the Reds fans who were complaining about their terrible bullpen over the last few days are thinking about right now.....
  7. BEST GAME OF THE YEAR. Hands down. Thanks Rickie.
  8. Give 'rillo a 10 year contract! He's purely magical in a Brewers uni.
  9. Actually, I think we're already even with them at this exact moment. We'd go a half game in either direction after the outcome of this game. Right? You are certainly correct, sir. With a win, we move to 43-43 and they stay at 42-43. Thank you for checking that.
  10. Yeah I guess you guys are right. A fluke cheapie ground role double is nothing to get ticked at Gonzo about. It just seems like those type of plays spell doom for this team and come back to bite us where it hurts...in key situations. Come on guys...the Cubs even beat the 'stros for us too tonight. We could even it up with them!
  11. Good 'ol Rich Aurilia.... Pitch 1 - Foul Pitch 2 - In play, run-scoring play You stink Gonzalez. I want my Mike Adams back. And I want him back NOW!
  12. You know, I might have had Moeller hit there instead. Barnwell can catch and can do other things Chad can't. Wow, the world must be coming to an end. Is a huge rock due to blow up the Earth? Someone just called for Chad Moeller to pinch hit before we use up our entire bench. I guess that tells you how "good" Chris Barnwell really is. You're telling me we can't find a better 25 man than him?
  13. K'ed on a foul tip. Very befitting of how the night's going. This was our best opportunity. Let's hope Gonzo brings his A-stuff tonight.
  14. 1000 posts. Must've been 1) a lot of in-house bickering in here or 2) a very long game and lots of action. Or both. And no doubt, there would have to be prevalent Ned bashing as well.
  15. MLB gameday shows the red dot out of the stadium, practically. Did he rob him?
  16. It's a darn shame that the Brewers are sending the wrong pitcher to the All-star game this year. Capuano deserved it. A closer with a 5.00 ERA and blown saves up the wazzoo sure doesn't do it for me.
  17. Wow, it seems like the board was totally in agreement with the move Ned made there bringing T-bow in to go at DLee. And look at the outcome....purely magical.
  18. I love Ned bringing in T-bow here. This is anti-Yost managing style right here and I kinda like it. The way our pen has been, can you blame him for going to the closer in the 8th?
  19. I'm just imagining a team full of Adam Dunn's..... Or how bout a team of Geoff Jenkins'? They both have 88 strikeouts on the year. The only difference is Dunn provides some power potential whereas Jenkins does not. People tend to forget we have our own K machine on this team.
  20. oh wow, looks like a fight broke out.. everyone behind the plate is watching.... My money is on the Brewers fan. Wisconsinites are "battlers," and we all know Wrigley is full of yuppies who've never smelled a fight in their lives.
  21. "He didn't kick the balls." -Daron Sutton (speaking of Dusty) No, but he probably feels like he got kicked in the balls.
  22. Can't win 'em all. We always get to .500 and seemingly get scared of moving over that mark. Always an uphill battle. Hurts even more that Cincy, STL, and HOU all lost tonight. Oh well, let's hope Helling is due for a good outing tomorrow.
  23. I'm loving all the Brewer fans at the game tonight, but still not as funny as "bulging dick." I'm tempted to change my screenname to that on here. Ya think Brian would allow bulgingdick to replace my current user name? It was said by our announcer during a game. If that wouldn't qualify, I could take it up with MLB and the office of the commish. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  24. You dirty minds just beat me to the punch. I'm starting to wonder if this slip of the tongue might be an indication of where Shroeder's mindset is during the game. Funny stuff. I'm sure Sutton let out a little laugh when he heard that.
