    Things have been so good, and Sunday's comeback was so wild, I'd almost forgotten how bad Sup looked last time. That no-decision has got to be Exhibit A in the ineffectiveness of W-L record as a method of judging pitchers.

    Although I always sided with Big Ben in the "Who's our ace?" debate, Cappy has probably been my favorite Brewer for a while now. I really started to respect him when he was learning Japanese when Tomo Ohka was on the team, and he doesn't seem to be fazed to be himself.

    I imagine Cubs fans are blowing their top about Peavy just getting a fine...considering his comments before the game and then the way it seemed to flare up again after he tackled Lee. Especially when you consider that perry got three games. I think they got hosed there.

    Just got back from my afternoon and it looks like I missed a lot. I'm a little sickened by Spurling pitching to Morneau as well since it would have been great to snatch one away and pull one further away from the Cubs. Given the way things were going when I left, maybe even being in that position in the 9th seemed a luxury to Yost. It wasn't.

    This is a good day to have afternoon plans...I'm off to hike Mount Tamalpais and leave this game behind at sea level. Here's to the Cubs melting down at Wrigley.

    Hard to complain after this road trip, but this would have been a nice one to have won with things turning out badly for the Cubs Why couldn't Sup have been this bad on Tuesday when they had no chance

    Padres put up 2 first inning runs on Rich Hill. Nice. I really hope this isn't one of those days where I get more satisfaction from watching our division rivals lose than getting to see a Brewers' win. Had too many days like that the last month.
