  1. And not that I'm cheering an injury, but we knew Bradley would go down eventually, and it seems he has early. Of course, that means Johnson can have another big season and some other Edmonds-type who appears totally gassed out (Trot Nixon?!?!?) can come on and be world-beaters for them.
  2. I'm much more impressed with us losing two relatively close ones at home to the Cubs than getting chumped twice on the road by the Giants...that particular "solid team" just got swept by the Padres this weekend. To be fair, it's always been hard for us to win series on the West Coast, I suppose. Brewers really beat themselves this one.
  3. Yeah, this one sticks in my craw much worse than last night's Four runs walked in, unbelievable.
  4. Did he check there? Looked a little questionable to me.
  5. Sure would've been nice to have had a baserunner on for that.
  6. Why on God's green Earth was Kendall batting there? Come on Ken Yost
  7. Looks and sounds like all the Brewers fans have left (except for The Doorman...I still spy him and his wife over there)...starting to see lots of empty seats and hearing "Let's Go Cubbies" chants Well, now I can understand why. Stetter started off so well there...
  8. Great effort by Ramirez there Man I can't stand that guy
  9. I dunno what he said but he took 2 runs away since 2 of the runs scored anyway. He said Johnson took four runs away with that play...I guess I took it he meant in that one play alone. Anyway, I agree with you that this isn't too upsetting seeing the black holes of our rotation and bullpen (Suppan/Julio) have taken so many innings and they played on the West Coast and against the cream of the NL...even today I feel like the Cubs were gifted two runs, so this particular series has been pretty close in my mind.
  10. No, Jon, Johnson took three runs away...let's get it straight.
  11. Shame to waste Counsell's play there...what I'd really liked about it was how it kept Gathright at second with 1 out.
  12. Oh, look, another garbage call by the umps this series
  13. A disappointing inning there by our Big Meat Hope we see them again this game.
  14. That look on Billy's face makes me think maybe he's starting to get antsy again about playing time Not entirely sure why Counsell was batting there to be fair
  15. I have to apologize and give credit to Big Seth there--he throws a lot of pitches and can be erratic but that was the first easy inning to watch in a few.
  16. Nice catch in foul territory by Corey there, that had disaster written all over it with Weeks and Fielder closing in.
  17. God, with McClung in, the BB total is gonna be off the charts tonight.
  18. In this case it's kind of masochistic but I like to see it "as it happens" and not in slow motion. You're telling me you don't want to see it accompanied by Morgan and Phillips discussing crampons? Anyway, good to see McGehee get his first of the year at the least. A pretty milquetoast inning there, Duffy hasn't done anything tonight outside watching Soriano's leadoff homer. Well, I guess he had that one pretty decent catch.
  19. How could anyone watch Julio's wild performance today and Prince's tip of the cap and think that was intentional
  20. Yeah it sickened me too but I'll admit that I rewound it and watched again three times. You rewound it? ESPN will only show it another 20 times (no blue) this telecast alone.
  21. That catch reminds me a lot of El Caballo's in St. Louis (or was it Cincy?) two years ago.
  22. Yeah, true...I thought it was a no-doubter at first by the angle, wayyy up in the Dew Deck, but Miller's voice made me think otherwise.
  23. Yeah, I thought the same, really. Beats Prince striking out and then a DP. Just frustrating to get food pulled from your mouth--no, throat--like that.
  24. God I hate these hacks that the Cubs turn into All-Stars The second Milton Bradley went down I knew Johnson would burn the Crew one way or the other today
  25. Yes, Joe: the vaunted DP combo of Hardy and Weeks. Wow. Anyway, this is ripe for getting a few back here...come on Braun, get off today's schneid
