  1. I've worn sideburns since growing a beard for a play in 1998, and I think I'll wear them forever now (except for when I shave everything off today for St. Baldrick's of course), no matter how out of style they may or may not be through the years. I think they provide a little definition to my potato face. They're pretty simple straight down the cheek to the jawline, though; mutton chops might be a step over the line for me, don't think I could pull them off.
  2. Propers to Mr. LouisEly! You guys have been awesome....can't thank you enough.
  3. Ringing the bell for valpocrewsader!
  4. That's what I get for not clicking the link...rough looking bobble
  5. I didn't get to see today's Badger game but it read like an old familiar story I've watched them all year and it seems like a farce that they'll likely make the NCAAs
  6. Good work! I always knew you liked pina coladas and gettin' caught in the rain. Glad someone got it because I'm about to head into a three hour meeting!
  7. No, I liked that guess though...I had to look him up, very interesting
  8. More big clues: Not Ulvaeus, but like him, he wrote a #1 pop single. Also like Ulvaeus, he has also wrote for Broadway musicals.
  9. No, but he is a musician (On another board I post on, I recently started a thread called "British Alternative Acts of the Early 90s--TODAY" and posted a photo of 808 State. Man, some of the Inspiral Carpets are lookin' rough!)
  10. Hint: it's not James Lipton
  11. A relatively (perhaps) easy one on a Friday... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/gwsy110.jpg Big clue: it's keeping with a recent GWSY theme...
  12. I'm not really into this kind of stuff but there is something cool about a single autograph on the sweet spot of a clean white baseball. I really like those baseball cards too, especially Gamel's and Weeks' Good haul for you.
  13. Ringing the bell for John Brew...thanks John!
  14. Big thanks to Brian for donating today...and Jeremy, here's your Friday reminder! Although tomorrow is the day I get shaved, you can continue to donate through today, tomorrow, next week, next month. It's all very much appreciated and for a good cause. I'll throw pictures up this weekend! Thanks again, everyone!
  15. I wonder what uniform they'll put Molitor in? Presumably Twins since the Snappers are with them now, but I'd love to see one with him wearing a Beloit Snappers uni. I went to Beloit College (as have some others here, I know), and didn't know a kid from in town there is in the NBA now...pretty cool. The biggest local sports news while I was going to college there was Beloit Memorial winning the state hockey tournament my senior year!
  16. Sounds like McGehee is pulling ahead a little.
  17. Will the Brewers be selling these online anywhere? I bought them every summer from '87 through '92 when I'd come up to visit, but I fell off the wagon, and I'm interested in picking one up this year since I'll likely end up watching most all of the games on TV again this year like I did last. Edit: Thanks for the PM'd offers to pick one up for me, guys! Much appreciated.
  18. Well, the guy was a Brewer. I'm on a Paul Weller email list; if Weller was accused of domestic abuse, I'm sure it would come up there. It doesn't mean that specific case or accusation is any more or less important than the others in the long run.
  19. I don't know, I've found it a good mix of "jokey" kinda of material like Farrell's, but grounded a little more in reality...I think the show's actually gotten much better since the first one as it's gotten a little darker dealing with Powers' issues. Anyway, it's hard for me to compare it to the other HBO comedies; talk about your apples and oranges!
  20. I'm also really happy because we made firm plans to go see the Brewers play while we're there with my family--the August 13th "businessman's special" matinee at Miller Park versus the Padres. Tailgating, Brew Crew, special sauce, and then marrying my friends followed by some boots at the Essen Haus or the Great Dane--zing, boom, tarrarel, it's gonna be a great weekend.
  21. Yeah, he also definitely referenced John Rocker with some of the stuff he was saying at the top of the first episode, too
