Yeah, all the same, I want the official word

That sounds like hat we've heard When I get an email from the Brewers, I'll finally believe it!

Varitek going is an absolute joke; Francona should be embarrassed
  4. SeriesFinale
Everything is literally falling into place for the Crew right now
  5. SeriesFinale
Yeah, I've got stuff I need to do today and I get the feeling we could be here forever
  6. SeriesFinale
    Unstoppable, gentlemen.
  7. SeriesFinale
    Greatest team ever.

Normally with an IDP by a PH I think, "Well, jeez, the pitcher could've done that," but in this case I'm glad to see Suppan sitting. He just hasn't had it as of late.
  9. SeriesFinale
You're absolutely right I guess I was just somewhat surprised that he's not going to get the loss, although a two-run deficit at home doesn't seem like much the way the Crew's playing lately.
  10. SeriesFinale
It would blow my mind if Suppan pitches three innings, gives up six runs, and still gets the win. I mean, I'd be happy, but absolutely gobsmacked.

This ain't over Could be a 14-12 final today
  12. SeriesFinale
I'd probably be booing myself. Crummy regardless, but this is our $12 million man.

I got 20 quick ones in just now...I'll do a few hundred more later today (what? me? life?) I also voted for Longoria on the AL side
  14. SeriesFinale
Well, back to the drawing board.
  15. SeriesFinale
Yeah, it's hard to get too upset with Tejada and Guzman's selections--even for a "token" pick Guzman earned it.

I don't think he tipped any cards there...it could indeed be a big day of news, we all know that. That said, it will be interesting if the deal goes down how and when they'll announce it. Do they let Braun and Sheets have their post-game spotlights for their AS nods and announce it later tonight?

J.J.'s not gonna make it...I bet he goes as an alternate though
  18. SeriesFinale
I heard them say that he beat Fukudome but BA appears to have misspoke...it's definitely Griffey who got passed. Kinda refreshing.
  19. SeriesFinale
I'm much more nervous about us giving up too much than I am not getting C.C.

I take back what i said last night....CONGRATS BRAUNIE!

(In my best barely-restrained Ron Santo voice): BACK TO BACK JAAAAAACKS!!!!!
  22. SeriesFinale
Yeah, I keep waiting for the burn to come down...and there will be some tough times, sure. I don't know if the Crew is gonna make the playoffs, although I admit I'm "feeling it." More than I did this time last year, to be frank. But regardless of what happens, like someone said here a week or so ago, it's a lot more fun doing the chasing than being chased.

I mean, I know a couple liters of brandy isn't the basis for an argument, but would you not renew your tickets if a Sheets-Sabathia-Parra rotation took this team to the NLCS or beyond? I understand where people are coming from--in an ideal world we don't need to trade a LaPorta. But I think Brewers fans are too conditioned at this point on being reliant on "the future." I appreciate that Mark A and the Crew think this, right now, could indeed be that future, whether it happens or not.

The Giants have said many times that Cain (along with Lincecum, obviously, and Sanchez) is going nowhere. There's absolutely no reason to not believe them on that. I think Plan B is to hold on to our studs; like RockCoCougar said, if that's not good enough for them, that's more than OK with me. Plan C, though, I'd think, would be Maddux or Wolf.

Yeah, I apologize for sounding harsher than I meant to there And That...your tone was really a minor thing and ultimately irrelevant to the issue at hand. I understand.
