It’s too late to lose this game
like all of you, I have an early morning
I hope they rally & win
As I mentioned a few days ago, I’m not a Mears fan
I’m concerned about the playoff pitching staff - starters & bullpen arms
Like you, I’m curious to know what they will do for 2026.
Is a trade possible? How about a free agent signing? Will they wait on Pratt who is likely a better option for 2027?
Put him on the coaching staff …
He’s only had 7 at bats & 1 start since being added to the roster
it seems to be a wasted roster spot that could be given to a future Brewers player
I imagine Hoskins is miserable watching every day rather than playing
If Murph values Hoskins he should let him start … but I’m glad he’s not playing as both Vaughn & Bauers are better options (offensively & defensively)
unpopular opinion … getting drunk, hammered, trashed is childish, immature, teenage behavior. Responsible adult men shouldn’t waste their time on such childish behavior. There are other ways to celebrate & enjoy winning the division.
Ortiz’s defense somewhat covers his poor offensive performance.
I’m far more concerned with our pitching - both starters & relievers - due to injuries.
I don’t trust Freddy to be our game one starter in the playoffs. He has had a great season no doubt … but he can be wild & inconsistent. We’ve had an incredible year but all the recent pitching injuries have me concerned that we will experience another early exit from the playoffs. Hope I’m wrong, but I anticipate more heartbreak. I don’t feel nearly as confident with Freddy as I have in recent years with Burnes & a healthy Woodruff.
Looking ahead to 2026 … Any chance Yelich finally learns to play first base so he can be the LH option for that position & allow others to bat in the DH role too? His back has held up well. It seems like a good time for him to learn the position. If Monasterio can effectively play there, why not Yelich?
