  1. Brewers look ready for Easter Laying an egg on Opening Day 🥚
  2. Help! Stat guys … How many times did the Brewers rally from 4 runs down last year to win a game? I can’t remember it happening once What an awful way to start the year 🤮
  3. What an ugly inning so far, 2023 looks eerily similar to 2022
  4. I predict an optimistic 92-70 for these 2023 Brewers
  5. “That’s my skull … I’m so wasted” - Spicolli
  6. For many years … as soon as the schedule was posted … I blocked Opening Day on my calendar & submitted a request for taking the day OFF. For the past six years, I’ve owned my own business so I gave myself permission to enjoy this holiday!
  7. I work hard almost every day of the year I’ve worked on Christmas Day, my Anniversary, & each member of my family’s birthdays In 40 years since graduating college, I don’t ever recall working on MLB #OpeningDay In addition to the Brewers & Cubbies, I plan to watch bits & pieces of all 15 games Today is my favorite day of the year
  8. I wonder if the Brewers paid him the $2.2M knowing no other team would claim him in hopes he returned to their minor league team & one day became the player they hoped he’d be Probably not 😇 This is similar to Lindblom being paid a huge salary to toil in the minor leagues after performing poorly in MLB
  9. Has anyone seen an “official” Brewers OD roster or have we simply deduced the final roster via adding & subtracting? I can’t find any post with the actual roster listed. I’m quite sad that Miller may miss the OD roster … also would love to see Wiemer get a chance. This should be a fun season - there will be lots of MLB-level talent in Nashville.
  10. I’m as concerned about Winker’s mediocre offense in Spring Training [I know it doesn’t count - but he’s not hit the ball hard or well] as much as I’m concerned about him playing defense [which I hope doesn’t happen with so many other options I’m fine if he DH’s part-time until he begins to spank the ball again
  11. If Adames gets a day off, I hope Turang slides over to SS & Urius plays 2nd … much better defensive alignment
  12. If Hiura is claimed (hopefully - for him & Milwaukee) … Do the Brewers still owe him the 2.2M or does the claiming team take on his contract?
  13. Surely we will know something soon Will he or won’t he be on the Brewers OD roster???
  14. So, I was correct in thinking all they had to do prior to yesterday’s deadline was place him on the 40-man roster … interesting
  15. Thank you … so “match the offer” means they could get outbid You indeed did answer my question - well done 🙌🏼
  16. HaHa … thank you … yes, I read that too - I was asking for “clarification” on if this is the Brewers decision exclusively IOW, if they want to keep him, they can add him to the roster - even though he opted out & other teams make him an offer too … even a better offer I am asking if Voit prefers to go to Philly or somewhere else for more playing time & more $$$ - is it as simple as him saying “goodbye Brewers” - because we didn’t place him on our roster prior to the agreed upon opt out date
  17. Do the Brewers get to keep Voit after his opt out if they add him to the roster or is it too late if he prefers other options?
  18. I would be furious if the Brewers had dragged their heels & lost Voit to an opt-out if they were trying to keep Hiura … but that’s not their reason It seems they may want to take a flier on Wiemer as a RH power bat … he has incredible future potential & OF versatility + he has speed & a cannon arm from RF If this is their reasoning - I’m surprised & excited If you consider early May - when (hopefully) Taylor joins the team - I prefer Wiemer to Voit at that time
  19. I’m concerned about Houser I’m hoping he has a big year for the Crew
  20. I hope we keep Voit I hope even more we don’t keep Hiura We do have adequate coverage for backup IB (Brosseau & Miller) & DH - but I like Voit’s bat & veteran presence
  21. I pull for whatever team has no Cardinals or the fewest Cardinals … I was rooting for Mexico against the USA & I will pull for them tonight against Japan too.
  22. Now is a good time to trade Hiura … a rare non SO at bat … he got a hit & drove in two runs … trade value may be at peak - trade him tonight!
  23. This is too good to be true I can’t see Oakland making that trade Milwaukee would jump all over that opportunity I would be thrilled … it appears one-sided & unlikely
