I know we have 100 games to play, but injuries aside … I feel like the 2022 team is worse in all three phases (pitching, hitting, defense) than the 2021 team
I acknowledge that scouts, managers, & GMs are far more intelligent as it relates to whether or not a player has the ability to produce at the major league level … but how can any of those professionals not see what the average fan sees in Kelley?
I truly cannot understand Kelley on the roster
I don’t like Cain or Suter on the team, but I at least understand the decision to DFA one or both being more challenging because of their history & team chemistry influence
This team is not enjoyable to watch or follow
They’ve only played well in five or six games all year (10%)
I believe scoring runs is more fun than run prevention
We have several DFA candidates - Cain & Suter among the vets
This is more than a slump
Yes, we remain in 1st place in a bad division … but Cards are a better overall team
It is a shame that we didn’t make a trade or promote Turang & Dahl while Adames & Renfroe were on the IL … several games were winnable
Charlie Moore is one of my all-time favorite Brewers
Funny connection: We actually dated sisters … but several years apart
I saw many of his games when he played for AA Shreveport Captains in the early 70’s … he was extremely kind to me
I have an autographed picture of him (attached) from 1982 on my office wall
My wife created a replica of our older son when he was in little league
I’m actually in the bleachers in the Moore photo too
Charlie Moore had a cannon (like Renfroe) from RF
loved this article ?
Just heard Counsell on MLB Radio … Renfroe returns tonight & Adames is “close” but will not be activated today (implied) …said he tweaked his hammy in Nashville - will go through a workout this afternoon - should be activated soon

I woke up at 4:14 (Milwaukee area code)
I got up at 4:19 (Molitor & Yount)
These are all good Brewers numbers!
Here’s hoping the one day off - & several roster adjustments to come later today - get our Brew Crew back in the WIN column tonight at home against the Phillies
Yelich needs to be placed on the “mental” IL … he could use a week on the beach or away to get his mind right … he’s an awesome person - great character - witty personality … & a formerly great baseball player, but currently - he’s a detriment to his team - especially hitting 3rd
Copied from an earlier post …
Hader is an employee with a boss - he should pitch as often & as for long as his manager tells him to pitch
CC is ultra-conserative … he won’t ever abuse Hader … but when needed - he should require a 2nd inning of him
On a positive note - both Luke Barker & Jason Alexander pitched well after their MLB call up
I’ve seen all of Suter & Kelley I want to see - hopefully they are dropped along with Cain
Yelich batting 3rd is my # 1 pet peeve with this under-performing team
There is ZERO justification for repeatedly putting him out there
Yelich has had one good week (three games) & the season is 1/3 over
Move him way down in the order … & release Cain ASAP
Shake things up - simply adding Adames & Renfroe back to the roster / lineup alone will NOT solve all that is wrong with this team

I’m pretty sure all Brewers fans - even those who are always positive & are uncomfortable with honest criticism about any player - feel exactly the same way
Yelich is guaranteed his $$$ … whether healthy or injured - much like the Chris Davis contract with the Orioles in recent years
Ideally … for both player & fans … release him & let him try to figure things out on another team
I would much rather have a young rookie or someone like Dahl take his spot
If the Brewers had enough $$$ … I would release two or three players … Cutch & Cain for sure … I’d bench Yelich or bat him ninth
I certainly don’t want to see anyone injured either
