I don’t believe it will be Skubal’s decision. Losing again today does make a trade more likely. I know he’s a good pitcher, but I hope Milwaukee avoids overpaying with young talent they will later regret losing. The only way it benefits the Brewers is a World Series championship. I don’t believe we can win this year with or without Skubal.

… to keep a six game lead over the Cubs

Pannone is likely a DFA candidate after today’s game. Only three innings pitched. Not sure he’s worthy of a 40-man roster spot. He did fine - especially when you consider the dropped fly ball by Mitchell.

Who coaches these outfielders? That’s two dropped routine fly balls in this three game series. What’s up? How do you hold these guys accountable for lackadaisical play?

These in game interviews are so annoying & distracting. There is a baseball game taking place.

Despite our record, we’re not good enough to spot a team three runs & throw a rag arm in a series deciding game
  7. edfunderburk
Far too big … I don’t like wasting games as if we can’t be caught by Chicago. Seems arrogant to think we can’t compete with Pannone on the mound.

I was excited to see Drohan pitch in San Fran. I don’t like the decision to bump him today. Pannone is not a major league pitcher. You can’t walk guys & drop fly balls with him pitching. And … Why can every other team except Milwaukee hit HRs?

    See you Friday

In the dugout with his pal Murphy

Hamilton is envious of that bunt

Man, I surely hope you are correct. I find myself cheering for Detroit to win every game so they hold on to Skubal & prevent the Brewers from overpaying for a rental.

I get that … now he can’t or likely won’t be available tomorrow

We’re up six runs in the ninth inning. Why pitch Uribe here?

Dodgers losing in 9th inning tonight Brewers can tie LA for top seed & overall best record in MLB at 67-40

I don’t agree, but if he “must” play he should bat much lower in the lineup

The difference in the quality of at bats by Yelich & Lara is significant
  19. edfunderburk
He could have finished the sixth inning without throwing 130 pitches
  20. edfunderburk
Crazy but true if you saw the at bat
  21. edfunderburk
Yelich is on base but he is pathetic.

I hate this decision to pull Henderson here. It is unnecessary to coddle & pamper grown men. I abhor Murphy’s in-game decision making.
  23. edfunderburk
Burke does not have a “baseball body” … he looks like an offensive lineman. It is remarkable that he is 25 for 25 on stolen bases this season. He’s not exceptionally fast. One of minor league baseball’s most mind-blowing stats!
  24. edfunderburk
I’m not so sure … I believe Murphy is the one unwilling to accept that Yelich is now a part time player

Two former Tennessee Vols 1B … 60 homers this season between them.
