Our offense is … awful, unbearable to watch … disappointing when you consider the opponent & their depleted pitching staff. I love Brewers baseball. I hate wasting three hours of my day watching them scuffle against an inferior pitching staff. I want to win today. I expect to lose. Too many missed opportunities early. Hard to overcome against a quality opponent.

He scares me against the Cubs because even though the movement on his pitches is incredible, those pitches often end up outside the strike zone. Counsell knows that fact & the cubs hitters are imply patient against him. I fear he will walk a few & then groove one & suddenly we are a couple runs down.

Not sure how Woodruff is getting by on such mediocre stuff, but he’s been impressive these last two outings with his veteran savvy & pitching ability.

We can’t keep missing out on these scoring opportunities if we want to win today. I hate cold streaks like the one our offense is experiencing … hard to watch.

I seldom laugh out loud while watching a baseball game. But the look in Vaughn’s eyes when he decided to go for a triple was priceless. He now has two three baggers in the last few weeks. Incredible for someone as “speed challenged” as Vaughn!

Two weeks go when everyone was red hot with their bats, I feared a collective cold streak. Somehow we managed to sweep the Reds with excellent pitching & a few runs. Unfortunately, the Cubs are too good to hit poorly against. We will need one or two players to step up to take this important series.

This fact should make us all nervous because Woodruff also benefited from the batter’s eye blind spot. Chicago is a much better offense & there won’t be a light issue. Hopefully, he has six plus innings of quality pitching using his vet instincts & pitching wisdom.

Does Patrick have options? If so, he needs to be sent down until he can get outs again. He’s hurting the team. Surely, we have someone that can give us a few innings of relief without yielding four runs at a time. Everyone deserves a mulligan. This is several bad outings in a short span.

Would be nice for Patrick to revert to his early season form & close this out with four scoreless innings … assuming of course that the Brewers score a run to win it & clinch a series victory over their little crothers from south of Milwaukee.
