  1. Seems like a solid signing. No real risk and some upside for sure. Thank god for Clevelands 40 man crunch.
  2. Tough ending. Can't wait for the heartbreak we will probably have to deal with again next year.
  3. I wonder if this is the time Hader finally is used for more than 3 outs. Seems like it could be a possibility.
  4. Any chance woody is available for 20-30 pitches in the pen. it would be is normal throw day on regular rest
  5. This sounds like a very Counsell thing to do but I am guessing he just starts JBJ straight out....
  6. No way JBJ should touch this lineup even if Cain isn't out there. Maybe a late game replacement but they need escobar peterson or taylor out there a lot more.
  7. I think sterns know that the likelihood of keeping Corbin and Woody after their years of arby are not very high. The reality is the brewers are in a 2-3 year window where they have a legit shot to win it all. Who knows when that will happen again. This team is better with Hader being apart of the team. I think the only way he should traded would be if it makes the major league team better which would be almost impossible.
  8. I would like to give him a shot at a fair amount of the starts in center. You just can't keep running JBJ out there right now
  9. This is certainly interesting. I wish they didn't have to part with Rassmussen either but this makes the team better for years to come. Let's hope they can find some effective bullpen arms to fill the middle innings.
  10. Dodgers 0-2 @Phillies 1-3 @ Marlins 1-2 Cards 2-1 Braves 1-2 @Royals 1-1 @ Reds 1-2 Padres 2-2 @Nats 2-1 Tigers 1-0 Record: 12-16 Injuries are going to catch up to them sooner than later and the pitching just cant stay this good.
  11. Too bad the Cubs took Miller out. Brewers never got their chance to throw at the other team's pitcher. That's how that works right?
  12. Cain appears to be seeing the ball really well at least. If he can be anything like 2018 we he would be a huge addition to the offense
  13. For me, I see the potential of dominating the decade if they can get Woodruff, Burnes, Hiura, and Hader locked up long-term. Those four, plus Yelich are the core. I see possibly Williams instead of Hader. Going to be cheaper longer and his pitching style could age better.
  14. Wouldn't mind seeing Billy Mckinney possibly get a start at first base today. I am not sure counsel will do that though since Keston has pretty good career numbers off of Williams
  15. Twins 2-1 @Cubs 1-2 @Cards 1-2 Cubs 1-2 Pirates 2-1 @Padres 2-1 @Cubs 2-1 Marlins 2-1 Dodgers 1-1 Total: 14-12
  16. NL CENTRAL STANDINGS: Brewers: 91-71 Cards: 90-72 Reds: 81-81 Cubs: 79-83 Pirates: 69-93 MVP: Yelich. Big bounce back year. Maybe not MVP level again but certainly best overall player. CY Young: Burnes. Going to emerge as one of the best pitchers in the NL. Dark horse to win the real NL CY Young Breakout: Garcia & Narvaez. Both have big bounce back years and help make the brewers a top 5 offense in the national league. Disappointment: Cain and JBJ. Cain can't find a way to stay on the field and is only an average player when actually healthy. JBJ turns back to the sub .750 OPS player that he was pre COVID. Under the radar player to watch: Luis Urias. I fully expect him to be the everyday SS by memorial day at the latest. Hit all the way through the minors, should translate to the majors when he actually gets consistent AB's and stays healthy. Rookie of the Year: Justin Topa: I know he was up a little bit last year but he only threw 7 innings so I am gonna call him a rookie. I don't know if he makes the team out of camp but his stuff is absolutely nasty and I think he can be a great middle reliever than bridges the gap to Williams and Hader.
