  1. Not sure where to post this, so feel free to move but I'm curious if anyone sees the SSH Discount card in the MLB Ballpark app? I got the physical card in the mail, but in previous years, an electronic version was available - 4 guys share a set of tickets. Trying to pass the physical card back and forth for different games is a pain, so the electronic version was nice...but I don't see it in the app (and I believe tonight is the first discount night?). Thoughts? One other thing that's related - is anyone able to access the "My Tickets" section on the Brewers website? It's giving me access denied errors from multiple devices.
  2. Without Ersan, there’s not enough salary on the Bucks end to make the trade work. Possible we could make another move first - like trading a second for a big contract, then flipping that. Doubtful...this looks like it’s not happening Can you do two sign and trades? Like we sign and trade Pat and Ersan and they sign and trade Bogdon to us? I honestly don’t know
  3. They don’t necessarily have to fill all 15 spots either. They can go with 13/14 and leave a spot for a buyout guy later in the year. They’ll have two two way guys available if they really need end of bench guys for a game or two. Don’t think they’ll go that route but it’s certainly possible
  4. Apparently there's a chance that the Leuer money gets forgiven - I won't pretend to know how or why, but some guys on RealGM seem to think there's a chance that will happen. That would be huge given the money situation this year, as it's 3 million. Sanders on the other hand...ugh.
  5. My guess is the Bucks will look to buy a couple of second round picks tonight. Second round picks are very cheap and can fill out the end of the bench - and who knows, maybe you get lucky. I'd imagine they'll try to resign Matthews, probably go after a backup PG like Augustine, Jeff Teague or Justin Holiday. I think they still have Frank Mason too right? He might actually get some run next year. Others who could maybe be had for cheaper salaries to chase a ring...Morris brothers, Korver (if he wants to keep playing), Millsap, Mason Plumlee, Cousins, Avery Bradley, there's definitely others too. Depth might be a bit tricky, but they should have some options for guys that still want rings. All of this leads me to think they already have a handshake agreement with Giannis on the supermax...guess we find out soon enough.
  6. I'd say this is accurate. I live in Oconomowoc - which I'd say is somewhat "rural" and at best it's 50% wearing masks. Went to Fleet Farm the other day and it was more like 25% or less (most employees weren't wearing one). Went out to Watertown for an errand, went to a butcher shop I like there - we were the only ones in the store wearing masks. None of the employees (no shields up by registers either). The people handling the food...nothing. It was almost like a different world where COVID didn't exist (or so the people there think).
  7. Let's say they do open up bars, restaurants, etc. in some remote places or even some places around Milwaukee with rules in place - say only 50% capacity, no lines, no cash, etc. Would you go? What if the waitress has it? What if the people before you had it? Are they going to sanitize EVERYTHING (seats, ketchup bottles, salt, etc.) between every guest? I'm not sure I would take that risk right now. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but the fear of getting it is going to keep some people (certainly not all) away from those places even after they reopen IMO.
  8. For those of you playing online poker tournaments for money...mind if I ask what site you are using? I used to play a ton, they banned them all here in the USA and now I'm looking to get back. Also...what are the minimum games and deposit/withdrawal fees? Thanks!!
  9. Just sitting on your couch doesn't get clicks. You proved the point, we all have seen (or at least heard about) Madonna, Arnold, etc. So the news-averse crowd is at least getting the message somehow, and that's all that matters. It doesn't bother me, as I'll never see any of their outlandish crap. Except for Sam Jackson, that was hilarious. But does that really help? People saw the video, but are they getting the message? Or are they just remembering that they came across as they did? I dunno. It is what it is. You're probably right though, at least some of if it is getting through.
  10. Many of these stars have tens of millions of followers on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Just a few weeks ago the surgeon general publically asked celebrities to spread the word about social distancing. Many people listen to advice from celebrities more than elected officials. Not saying I agree with it, but a lot of people put celebrities on a pedestal and pay attention to every single one of their social media posts. Yea, I wish it was true not a single person cared, but millions do. There's a whole lot of people that know more about the Kardashians' lives than their own family, sorry to say. And if someone isn't capable of soaking in the non-stop news about what you should be doing/ not doing, but they get it from 2 Chainz on Instagram, purpose served. That said...there's a difference between a celeb pulling out their phone, doing a selfie video from their couch begging people to stay at home as opposed to a video like Madonna, Arnold and others have done. They need to have some awareness of what life is like for people that aren't uber rich. We don't have indoor basketball courts, pools (some do of course), giant movie rooms, mansions, etc. And many of us have to go out to get food, work, etc...things that most celebs rarely have to worry about right now.
  11. I guess technically people could say they're going to eat the fish, but I'd say 98% of people out fishing have no intention or desire to do that. I could be wrong, but I rarely see it. I know how to clean fish...absolutely hate it. But I guess it could be justified, it's just that I don't see the harm in letting people on golf course using the measures we've outlined.
  12. I would have to agree with this. Don't really get it - even if you allowed one person per cart it would be fine (would need to sanitize them, but that's doable) or just limit it to walkers. The rest...yeah, I don't get how golfing is banned, but fishing is not. I saw boats with multiple people in them, lines and people waiting to launch boats and whatnot. How is that ok but 2 guys walking around a golf course (and easily keeping 6 feet apart the whole time) is a problem?
  13. We have 457 people with confirmed positive tests, with what...less than 10 deaths right? How exactly are we going to get to ONE THOUSAND deaths in the next two weeks? Using those numbers, the amount of positive tests would have to multiple by FIFTY with the current death rate to reach 1000 deaths in two weeks. I'm sorry but I find that to be very difficult to believe. I've said not to compare us to Italy, but it works in this scenario. Italy has 60 Million people, many of which are elder and a crazy high population density. They've had it way worse (for much longer already and have had 6000 deaths. Wisconsin has just about 6 million people...so with 1/10 of the population, we're suddenly going to not only pass their infection rate, but the death rate would have to be crazy high. Don't take this the wrong way...I'm all for the social distancing but these numbers just simply don't compute. Even without social distancing, the death rate would have to be twice as bad as Italy's (which has been awful) to even come close to that. And as many on here have argued, the death rates are likely not anywhere near that high, simply due to lack of tests, lack of people getting tested with minimal or no symptoms, etc. It certainly feels like a scare tactic, which maybe it is, but at they seem very extreme and many people are going to see through them IMO. Edit - I did this math in my head on the fly, so they may be off slightly, but the point remains the same.
  14. Milwaukee announced 56 or was it 53 new cases yesterday. Time to lockdown WI. Done. Effective tomorrow per the governors twitter account. Details to follow later apparently.
  15. I don't think it's a reach that other states will adopt this sooner, rather than later. I’ll be very surprised if WI isn’t in the same spot by early next week, with the entire country there by the end of next weekend.
  16. It's hard to really compare anything to Italy. Italy is a PRIME area for it to spread very, very quickly. Italy is a relatively small country (roughly 3/4 of the size of California). Yet Italy has a population of over 60 million (compared to about 40 million in CA). So 20 million more people, living in substantially less space. Italy has about 532 people per square mile, compared to 254 for CA. So a LOT of people are living in pretty close capacity to one another. It's also a very old country with almost 25% of the population being over 65 and a median age of over 47 years old (38 in the USA). This equates to a much higher death rate as it's been hitting elderly people hard. They also had such a spike that the hospitals are very overwhelmed and even though they have tests, they haven't been testing or treating people with mild symptoms. It's serious over there and it's something to watch/look at, but there's no real point in making comparisons to their statistics, as it's a dramatically different situation there than it is for most parts of this country (NYC could be an exception though). Sorry, not saying anyone here is doing that, not trying to start any sort of argument of any kind. Just stating that there's some big differences that you can't necessarily see simply reading the statistics (kinda like a 4-4 baseball game with 3 swinging bunts and a blooper looks the same in the box score as 4-4 with 3 rockets and a single off the wall or something).
  17. Going back to baseball, I can't imagine them redoing the schedule. It's just too hard. Tickets, travel, etc. have been bought and all of that. Whenever they start (assuming they do), I think their only real concern will be making sure teams play the same amount of games. There's only so much you can do if you start talking about missing 45+ days of the season. Certainly could be wrong, just my take.
  18. Scary post. This is such an odd thing to be living through. I wish they would move on this now and just close everything. Why are we waiting for something bigger to happen? I can work remote and do most of the time, but I am still frustrated that coworkers are expected to show up right now. There are 4-6k people in my office on a given day. It's insane. Send them home. 100% this. I had this very discussion yesterday. I work at home daily, but my office (in the Chicago area) has hundreds and hundreds of people in it every day. Virtually all social events (even my sons Cub scout den, which has 8 kids in it) have been cancelled. Yet office buildings are open. Restaurants and bars (and all the germs that go with those place) are open. Gyms are open. Schools are open. I get we don't want to take people's rights away and these are private business that can make their own decisions. But isn't it a tad counter-productive to cancel all these things, but yet still let all these people get together daily at all of these places?
  19. I don't know about MLB, but for NBA contracts...they get paid by the game. No games = no money. It's hard to really say, nobody really knows how this will go, but we should have a better idea in a month. If it's not almost gone by May, the NBA is likely done for the year (Bucks luck) and as others have said, MLB would have to conceivably resume by June to have a spring training and half a season.
  20. They should beat NW tomorrow - they are terrible. Winning at Indiana will be tough, especially knowing that a win means a share of the conference title (assuming a win tonight). But to think they even have a shot right now is remarkable. Those Iowa and Illinois losses still sting though, both of those were games they definitely could have won.
  21. Agreed, but my point about how badly the NBA wants the Lakers to win to put a bow on the Kobe narrative also includes Western Conference postseason scale-tipping if/when the Lakers play the Clips, Nuggets, etc. This does make me a little scared. They don't even try to hide it at times - the end of the Lakers/Celtics game this past weekend being a prime example of how officials can blatantly swing a game in the Lakers favor. Long way to go before then though, let's get to the Finals first and worry about it then!
  22. Those Illinois and Iowa games certainly hurt right now (and to some extent the first Rutgers game), but they definitely should have beaten Illinois and Iowa - just lost focus with a few dumb mistakes and couldn't score for 5 minutes to end the games.
  23. Robinson and Burks to sixers - basically for free too. Neither are elite but both are good shooters, which they desperately needed. So Miami and Philly get better (though I’m not sure either trade is THAT big of improvements...we will see). Will the Bucks respond? Will there be more trades for other East contenders?
  24. Should be an interesting 24 hours or so. I don't think the Bucks make any major moves (though I could see a Brown/Wilson/Pacers pick trade). More importantly though...what do any other contenders do? Capela and Covington are off the market, both avoiding the Eastern Conference (and the LA teams). That's a good thing for the Bucks I think.
  25. There's a big difference between being "treated poorly" and it having a serious effect on his mental health. I agree, if he can prove that to some level, he probably gets the waiver. Though I'm not sure how you do that without very specific examples and/or some sort of psychiatric evaluation. It'll be an interesting case. If he really was that effected and a professional third party agrees, then I'm 100% ok with the waiver. But if that's not part of it and the NCAA just takes his word for it, I think that's a slippery slope because it opens the door for any player to do it if they simply don't like the situation or whatever and play immediately elsewhere.
