Smith and Thon hadn't seen the floor in weeks. The Bucks/Nuggets picks currently are at the end of the second round, so more or less very little value. The Wizards, hard to say. If they don't trade Beal, I think those are still in the middle of the second round. If they move him, those become better. But still, this is an absolute steal for the Bucks. I also believe they get Bird Rights on him now too, which could help if they want to sign him back. It was mentioned above, but let's not overlook the open roster spot for a buyout. That could be very useful in a week or two. Ellington, Matthews, maybe Robin Lopez, etc. There will be options and the Bucks will have a spot for one. AND they'll have just enough room to sign a buyout and stay under the tax threshold for this year. Horst has done a stunningly good job with trades and the roster the past few months.

I'd like to see Wes Matthews find his way on to the roster either through trade or via buyout. He can play defense, can score the ball and could be a nice addition to our second unit. Plus being from WI, maybe he wants to come home for a bit? I still think the second unit needs one more guy. He can easily take Ersan's minutes, who outside of drawing charges, has been pretty bad of late.

I feel your pain. But what can the NBA do if a player really wants to play for a certain team? LeBron was always going to LA, tampering or not, as an example. I don't think the NBA wants certain teams to do well, it's just players wanting to go where it's cool and try to create a big 3 somewhere. Not sure how you stop that. In a way, AD is doing the Pels a favor by making it clear he will leave when his contract is done. If that's how he really feels, at least they can trade him now and get something for him. Not all players are so short-sighted. Giannis extended once already, and he will again. He is mature beyond his years and understands they can build a perennial contender- even in Milwaukee. If it was done in SA and OKC, it can be done in Milwaukee. I have no issues with players making decisions and if he wants to play for the Lakers, then he'll have the chance to do that - when is contract is up. Making it public that he wants out and that the Lakers are the ONLY team he'd immediately sign an extension with is the part that needs to be fixed. Fine him a ton, prevent that team from signing him, I have no idea exactly what the fix is, but this needs to be stopped. As someone said above, NO could stand up to him (and if they were good they probably would do that) but they won't. They're going to cave and trade him...any team that's not LA would be taking a huge shot at a title this year or next, knowing there's a strong chance he's gone (though Paul George shows its not always a sure thing). I just hate it. I HATE the "let's form a super team" type crap that goes on.

This only happens in the NBA. It's awful and they need to fix it. Carmelo Anthony did the same thing. "I want to be traded, and I'll only resign with the Knicks". It screws the current team. It hurts the trade market and the league needs to stop encouraging super teams and make fines for tampering and all of that way more to put an end to it. But they won't. Unlike the NFL, the NBA doesn't care about disparity or even playing field. They want the top cities to win. We can hope Giannis is the exception to this rule, but if/when that day comes and he pulls this stunt, it might push me away from the Bucks forever, which would suck.

The Bucks didn't play well last night but at the same time, they got pretty unlucky. The Thunder are an average 3 point shooting team at best, something like 20th in the league. They made over 50% last night, including George going 8-12 (the last several with fairly decent defense). He's a 38% three point shooter. Sometimes it happens. They played poorly on the road against a good team, Giannis had an awful first half and yet they still managed to have it a 1 possession game with a minute to go. That's the sign of a good basketball team. Can't win them all, but to be right there on a night that they clearly didn't have it and the Thunder shot the lights out from three...that's not that bad. Saw Anthony Davis requested a trade. Can't see how the Bucks match up given that we have no first round picks to trade and no real young talent on the roster that would make sense, but it's fun to think about him playing with Giannis!

One of the worst was the last blocking call on Davidson. The guy lowered his shoulder, fully extended his arm and knocked Davidson to the ground...block. I get that he has a reputation, but that's ridiculous. The announcers got on it as well. Call the game fairly and call fouls correctly. Just because he has a knack for taking charges and took 5 in a game doesn't mean you should suddenly start penalizing him for it. Speaking of bad officiating, anyone see the "hook and hold" in the Tenn/Vandy game? I thought it was absolutely awful and changed the game - probably saved Tenn from a big upset.

He can look for whatever he wants, but I'll be stunned if he gets 20 mil a year. Only takes one team to do something crazy, but that would be a drastic overpay IMO.

For normal games, the shuttles are amazingly easy and fast. For playoff games...we've taken the shuttles down without too much of an issue (lines at the bar for 30 min that you can drink in). But the lines after have been nuts. Our plan has been to take the shuttle down, then walk back. It's only about a mile and takes less than 20 minutes to walk.

I have tickets for the opener at the Fiserv Forum. That would also be game 6 of the NLCS - which I also have tickets for. I... I don't even know what to do. Better hope for a sweep, its obvious which one to use and it isn't the basketball game. I'm also in this same situation. Had the Bucks tickets since like April....but if the NLCS returns for game 6, I'm almost certainly going to sell the Bucks tickets on StubHub and hope for the best. I'd hate to miss the opener but NLCS game 6 has to trump that IMO.

I understand that MLB wants to maximize the markets and all that - but not knowing a game time for Saturday is highly frustrating. It's NYY or Boston - does it really matter who wins the series? The market and time zones are the same.

Woodruff is starting. It's all over Twitter. I can't see Lyles on the roster even with that one amazing start.

The thought that it could potentially be for only one game is highly disappointing/terrifying. So hard to get there in this market and to boil it down to essentially a play-in game kinda sucks.

Braun said it last night, the Brewers need to act like they have to win EVERY game left to have a shot at the division. Win your own games and let the rest sort itself out.

Other than the Cubs losing - I don't care who wins the LAD/STL series. It's good for the Brewers regardless. Brewers just need to keep winning their own games...the rest will sort itself out.

Wasn't part of the idea behind giving Braun days off throughout the season so that he could be healthy (and rested) for the stretch run? He needs to be in the lineup today IMO. With the scheduled off days every week, unless someone is hurt, there's no reason for days off. We need the best players out there as much as possible.

Just curious if we were to claim him, who would you take off the roster for him?

Is the feeling that a Machado trade may happen sooner rather than later? Like in the next week or so? Or just that talks are getting more serious? The deadline is still over 3 weeks away yet.

I get that it's likely short term just to get Santana some AB's. But the fact that Sogard remains on the roster is still baffling. How many utility IF do we really need - Sogard, Miller and Perez on the same roster is highly redundant. As is Braun still not playing. Either DL him or let me play...it's just a waste of a roster spot.

Still no Braun in the lineup. It's getting pretty silly at this point that he wasn't just put on the DL. I get Santana going down to get some AB's, but the fact that Sogard remains, even with Miller on the roster is pretty silly.

You answered your own question. No reason to lock in the higher cost for 60 days until you absolutely need someone on the 40 man roster. {Also the Brewers don't want to put anyone new on the 40 man until they have to} I assume he will be labeled "healthy" and put back on a minor league roster pretty soon. I'd rather he just got DFA'd when healthy...

Counsell still doesn't seem to want to start Villar against lefties, even though he's been hitting it well from the right side. Could also have to do with the calf thing from last night. Give him 2 days off to hopefully heal for this weekend. This feels like a big game. More for the Brewers players heads than anything, show that we can beat them in a series.

Didn't really want to start a new thread for this but wondering if anyone has any ideas. I have a 60 inch Samsung, about a year old. I moved over the weekend, it was wrapped and everything, but something still seems to have happened. Basically, there's a small part of the screen that looks "bruised". Looks like a smudge, but it isn't on the screen itself. It's only visible when lighter colors go over it, but it's pretty annoying to me since I know it's there. I assume some pixels or something were damaged, but I really have no idea. Anyone have any thoughts? Or how to get it fixed (I assume I'll have to take it somewhere - is it expensive)? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
