  1. Does Ereu even have a poke yet? I don't think he does (I guess I could go look...but it's late and I'm lazy)😅.
  2. I'm also absurdly impressed with the best of the youngest hurlers as well. Mercedes, Dorchies, and Quezada (for example) tonight are just dealing.
  3. I see Alastre and Guilarte combined for their best collective RHP Dikember Sanchez impression. And, I see Yerlin struck out 5 in 2 2/3 IP. Good gods, I just do not emphatically get it with Yerlin. Raw stuff for eons. Absolutely zero consistency and control pitch-to-pitch.
  4. Mercedes gave up a lead-off dub and then his first runs against him so far with an immediate 2-run blast. BUT, he struck out three more to end the inning after an Ortuno error. My goodness. That's 3 IP, 7 K. This young man obviously has stuff that will likely travel to Zebulon in due time in 2025.
  5. I was literally just thinking about this after the Shuckers came into the 9th leading 9-2 and work the Biscuits pitcher to get the bases loaded and another run crossed. 11 walks tonight as well as the power surge. It's a real consideration. Also...maybe get another Yankess guy at High-A Wisconsin? And a pitching Witch Doctor? Just some thoughts.
  6. Mercedes, after sitting for a spell, faces some trouble via single; BB; HB; WP. BUT, because he has 'stuff', he escapes unscathed. 2 K. Pop out to 2B. Crew still lead 11-0 as a result headed to the 3rd.
  7. This is the best LHP Mark Manfredi has looked in about a calendar year. He struck out batter one on a 96 mph heater on the outer black (lefty). He struck out batter two on an inside slider looking. Maybe he just needs 9-2 leads to get comfy? Meanwhile, the ACL Crew lead the ACL Dodgers 11-0. Mercedes has only pitched an inning! Amazing.
  8. (C Kevin Garcia just homered. 8-0 ACL Crew. Mercedes dealt a 2 K scoreless first. Noice!)
  9. OK, I'm going to focus on getting ahead of these next two reports before my wife leaves town for five days. Solo farm dad upcoming. I'm going to be quite a bit less active tomorrow than I normally am on most nights. Let's hope the Shuckers and ACL Crew pull this out. I have no faith in the Timber Rattlers to make anything meaningful of tonight. They are playing absolutely lifeless baseball.
  10. Meanwhile, Yerlin walked in a run. He just gave up a bloop down the RF line that lands in front of Perez. It is 12-3. SO, that's Yerlin with 1 WP, 2 BB, 1 single. He mercifully escapes with a dribbler up the 1B line Diaz gathers. This game is painful.
  11. Like absolute clockwork, (I am in pain), Rodriguez comes in and pitch one is off speed about three feet up and out of the zone and off the glove of the sliding Diaz to the backstop. WP #1. Uncanny. Runners advance to 2B and 3B. He walks him on four consecutive pitches.
  12. Great throws and tags on those two CS. Meanwhile anybody and everybody is grabbing bases on Miller and Diaz.
  13. 9-3 T-Rats trail. Sanchez worked 1 1/3 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, and 1 K. Woooooof. AND, RHP Yerlin Rodriguez comes to the dish. Two men on with one out. My goodness. This could get monumental. 😅
  14. 9-3 T-Rats trail now. Sky Carp have scored 9 unanswered and the T-Rats are playing lifeless. And the crowd is lifeless. And, the ump just will not call a strike on the low outer edges. It's uncanny.
  15. Let's add insult to injury. Runner double steal. Diaz is slow to pop. Throw is slightly up line. Baez carelessly lets the ball skip off his glove into shallow LF. Just a lazy play. These T-Rats really are a challenging watch. Predictably, because Minor Leagues are for every aspect of Minor Leagues, they credit Diaz with the error on the throw. Look, the throw was up line toward 2B. BUT, that was on Baez who lazily tried to catch and tag in one motion when all he should have done is catch that ball.
  16. Shuckers are finally getting to Johnson. He fails to record an out so far in the sixth. Mound visit. After a HB (Murray in the upper back) put two men on, Spain ripped a single up the middle and Miller scored. 6-2 Shuckers. Meanwhile, Sanchez let the lead-off batter aboard in his second inning with a single up the middle. That batter stole 2B (no throw from Diaz). Ump squeezes him on a 3-2 off-speed pitch that very clearly looked at the knees and on the outer black. He walks him. Two men on. Tough watch.
  17. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin with Alastre standing on 3rd base after reaching via a swinging K PB, Areinamo K'd looking. Burke K'd looking at three consecutive sliders. The very much playing like a sub 0.500 ball club T-Rats still trail 7-3.
  18. AND, first pitch 3-run blast over the LF wall greets Sanchez facing the next batter. Absolutely no doubt. Low. Middle. Off-speed. 7-3 T-Rats trail. Good grief, Sanchez is a disaster in 2025. No other way of getting around it.
  19. And, from a 2-2 count, Sanchez walks another. Like I said: disastrous campaign. AND, even better, RHP Yerlin Rodriguez is getting ready in the Pen.
  20. Sanchez's disastrous 2025 campaign continues. An absolute 3-2 hanger is gapped to deep right CF. Garcia slips and slides trying to corral and turn. The relay throw to 3B looked like it may have got the runner but no matter the infield ump called him safe in a bang-bang play. 4-3 Sky Carp. Sanchez continues to need way too many pitches on average per AB. He is falling behind too much. He just hasn't been sharp all season. Very much not the same pitcher we saw close out 2024.
  21. Man, I really like this righty pitching for the Biscuits right now. Johnson. He is really sharp.
  22. After inducing a DP, Sanchez just took a pretty hard hit comebacker off his heel. Ouch! That looked like it hurt. 105 mph.
  23. Yup. It is obviously popping up in every recent outing. That's twice tonight. Popped up in the first inning his last home start too. Both resulted in mound visits but he stayed in the game and toughed it out.
  24. Hunt escapes. Man, he is very obviously dealing with some type of right ankle issue. It's reared its head in both of his last two starts. He mildly tweaked it again covering first base there. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin RHP Dikember Sanchez is on in relief. He fell behind 3-0 and then gave up a single into CF. He has fallen behind his next hitter as well.
  25. That's an interesting question. I personally have never thought of the Brewers trading Peralta. He seems way too much their poster child for 'Brewers'. But, given the two years of control and if things got bad enough I guess he could become available with the year he is having. What would he get in return? I have absolutely no idea.😅
