  1. Don't look now (because I'll tell you here): The Sounds gained another game on Lehigh Valley today. They are now 4.5 GB with two series remaining in the first half. I believe (kind of 😁)
  2. Beach Chickens is absolutely one of my fave Brewers affiliate alternates. Personally, I am all aboard the 'Hawaiian Shirt': So choice.
  3. You certainly may be right. We'll just have to wait and see. It certainly wouldn't surprise me to see it (Nashville promotion) in the second half. As Jim said, I think he is about as guaranteed as you get for a 40-Man Add given what he's doing on a start-by-start basis.
  4. Yeah I've been thinking 80-90 IP. 100 IP would not surprise me given he likely has two more starts to end his first half. Let's hope so!
  5. Man RHP Christian Welch's season has pretty much been a quagmire. 7 BB tonight? Yikes.
  6. Not necessarily. You have to remember he last threw competitive in innings in 2023 before his TJ. And he only threw 24 innings that year. Hard to know what the Brewers are thinking. But I can only imagine given what they are seeing they'll want to be somewhat conservative - responsibly building up his stamina. Not pushing him too quickly. The main thing is he is loudly announcing his Rule 5 protection status to the org. He just needs to stay healthy.
  7. With back-to-back shutouts the Sounds are suddenly 5.5 GB Lehigh Valley with two series to play in the first half. Getting mildly interesting!
  8. Coleman Crow: 6 IP, 1 H, 9 K. 0 BB, 0 R Stud. Shuckers lead 8-5 top of 9.
  9. If you are going solely for prospect discourse, I'd personally start sooner - ie in the 1 hr 20 minute mark. Spencer takes some listener questions on prospects within there with some fun Spencer insights. Fwiw.
  10. Tip of the cap to INF Daniel Guilarte. He has hit two absolutely key pro sac flies to plate key RBI's of late vs these Kernels (has four SF on the season). That was a pro's pro sac fly. 1-1. Men on the corners. One down. 2-2 game bottom of 9. How about I golf shot this lil beauty to the deep CF warning track?!? Just awesome to see. You may not know it if you aren't watching the games and you just look at his raw offensive numbers (not pretty): he has played much better overall baseball of late. It's small steps with these young players sometimes. I definitely am noticing. Man, if he could somehow find any semblance of an average hit tool...as is, I will appreciate his plus defense and cannon arm and the small incremental improvements. In limited May/June AB he has put together just a much better overall approach to identifying balls and strikes. Hopefully, this is a start of a slow turn toward more productivity.
  11. The calendar flipped to May and the outings have been fairly unkind for RHP Bryan Rivera. He came aboard up 4-3. Still in the game top of the 6th and the Mudcats trail 7-4. Lead off man aboard. Not looking good.
  12. DSL Brewers Gold are 1-3 and have lost by a combined 3 runs? I'll take the Over. Hard not to be highly intrigued by early Rijo and Tarazona work over on the Blue Squad.
  13. Was there ever really a doubt 2025 Dikember wasn't going to allow at least one run there via WP or HB? Grateful he only gave up one.
  14. Man this is a massive spot for RHP Dikember Sanchez. Can we insert a quarter and buy the 2024 version? Quick someone ask Chris Edwards!
  15. Tonight. In my Man Cave...with my wife and daughter in Scotland...I will he watching episodes of: The prospect loss and love struggle is real. 😅
  16. Man. Seeing RHP Tanner Shears' Brewers career end in this manner truly pains me. He was on an incredible trajectory back in 2023. Then, bam. TJ. Miss a season. And come back completely disheveled. Injuries suck. Ugh. I'll pair this in the same gut punch as losing RHP Sam Gardner. Someone give this ol' farmer a hug today. He needs it.
  17. You have to just sit back and smile at the current seasons we are seeing from Zavi and Eduardo. Two long-time Brewers having fantastic years. I, for one, am just absolutely overjoyed for those two!
  18. Shuckers pouring it on. Leading 13-2. Long John Silvers from Adams and Zavi - record tying, btw: The same Jake Gatewood the Sounds just battled at Triple-A. Wild.
  19. Kuehner now has them loaded with two down in the top of the 4th. Just had a mound visit with what looked like a cramp in his left leg near his knee. AND, no matter, he recovers and induces a very weakly hit end of bat nubber down the first base line. He looks quite fine sprinting for it and leaping to make the tag back against his body to nab the runner headed down the 1B line. On to the bottom half. Still 6-0.
