  1. Oliva singles and doesn't try for the extra base for a change much to the pleasure of Oliver Dunn. He'll get the chance to walk it off.
  2. In a 3-2 count, Adam Hall K's swinging at a slider dipping well below the zone and to his feet. Ugly look for the challenged bat of Hall. Lead off K.
  3. Man, looking at that ACL Brewers line-up. How wild to see all these names stateside. We've been poring over their DSL output for the past couple of years. What a time.
  4. AND Peguero digs deep and K's Banuelo looking on a sinker just on the lower edge of the zone. Looking punch out. What an escape.
  5. WOW. Seigler picks off the runner off the 1B bag on a 1-0 strike. Glorious play. Clarke snuck behind the base runner unawares. Seigler threw an absolute dart right on the money. Two down. What a fantastic play.
  6. Boy the Sounds are feeling generous tonight. To an offense they really have no business offering generosity too. Peguero walks his second consectuive. That's 8 walks for the Sounds staff. They have two errors. They have a passed ball. Two on. One down. Peguero misses again. Behind 1-0.
  7. Boy, Peguero just hung an absolute belt high inside off-speed pitch. That ball was crushed 405 feet...but just foul. Man. That was a mistake slider. He went back to the originally intended location from the last pitch. He misses just low and outside. Free pass. Man aboard. One down.
  8. Meanwhile, in the desert, Jorge Quintana just hit a long ball. 2-0 ACL Crew lead. His first long ball of his young season. Bottom of the 5th.
  9. Herron sky high pops out to the SS on the edge of the infield dirt. On to the 9th.
  10. Man, the Sounds have a chance to gain a game on all four teams ahead of them in the International League. This is a rare opportunity to pick up a game on all four in one tally. 6-6. Bottom of the 8th. Zamora follows the throwing error going down looking at a 95 mph heater at the knees on the outer half. Heck of a pitch. Two down.
  11. Stallings gets away with a first pitch inside hanger. A hard hit comebacker headed up the hole and he snags it. Casually trots and underhand tosses to 1B. Heck of a stab! On to the bottom half and we'll stay knotted at 6-6.
  12. Goodness that's an insanely impressive debut.
  13. Stallings is trying to work around consecutive one out walks. He K's the very dangerous Basallo. He doesn't get chases so intentionally walks the next batter. Bases juiced. Two down. 6-6 game. RIghty on righty. Top of the 8th.
  14. Clarke is on for the fourth time on the evening - 2 singles (this one a fairly well hit oppo liner to RF) and 2 walks. He leads off with the base knock.
  15. RHP Garret Stalling strands two in the seventh salvaging Zimmerman's line after that Zamora error. He gets the 2-2 fly out to deep left CF. Sounds will face ol' teammate LHP Grant Wolfram.
  16. Clarke has been eaten up by two low throw skips from Dunn and now Zamora deep in the SS hole. Go ahead run now reaches 2B. Zamora doesn't exactly excel in those situations. He had the time for a better throw - it was bang-bang but Zamora just doesn't have that consistency in his bag. Throw was low and across Clarke's body on a short hop. Maybe could have caught it. Regardless, error is charged to Zamor.
  17. Oliver Dunn has a chance to get the Sounds ahead now. Bases juiced. Two down. He is 0-for-2 coming into this AB including a hard hit line out to RF. Now down 0-2 on a swing and miss. And an elevated heater gets the check swing sword and Dunn K's. 6-6. A four run 6th. 10 men reached bases. Three remained. On to the 7th.
  18. Heck of a come back sixth inning here for the Sounds bats. Just hitting it where Strowd pitches it. A Alfaro screamer double to the deepest part of the park in right CF. A masterful tying RBI bunt single by Jimmy Herron. Another seeing eye single for Raynel Delgado (3 RBI on the night). 6-6 game.
  19. The fifth inning gets away from García - not a whole lot of hard contact in there just some seeing-eye hits through the gaps. He ends with a walk and is pulled. The Sounds trail 5-2 and RHP Sam McWilliams will come aboard and look to stop the bleeding.
  20. A Clarke walk (his second of his night). A masterfully executed bunt down the 3B line by C Anthony Seigler. Two men aboard for Raynel Delgado for the second time. If you recall, he tied things earlier with a 2-RBI single.
  21. Rain is really starting to come down after brief sprinkles in the third frame. We are going to start the top of the 4th, regardless but don't be surprised if this leads to a delay down the line.
  22. Consecutive games CF Jared Oliva has been thrown out trying to grab one extra base. Here in the 3rd he hit a bloop pop single to shallow RF. He thought he may be able to grab that extra bag. Not to be. He was thrown out trying to get back to 1B. Dunn to the dish. He lines out hard to the rehabbing O'Neil in RF.
  23. EMJ has an exit velo machine to contend with on these Tides. Basallo's HR last night was 100 mph plus? He has the 108 mph ground out and just hit a 115.9 mph single to RF. This man can absolutely mash a baseball.
  24. A Wes Clarke walk. An Alfaro infield weakly hit single (take that Norfolk!). A Seigler deep fly out to deep LF foul territory sees both Clarke and Alfaro reading the tag opportunity. Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd. Reynel Delgado follows with a seeing eye single up the gut into CF plating two. He quickly steals his 9th base in a bang-bang play. Zamora to the dish. 2-2 game.
