  1. Made sends Walling across with his second poke of his day. 4-2 Mudcats. Yeah baby.
  2. Heck of a tricky over the shoulder grab by Bitonti to help Reyes escape the 4th unscathed. He stranded men on 2nd and 3rd (double and close walk)with the grab.
  3. Bitonti follows his 9 K road series and Sunday rest with a K looking and a K swinging.
  4. Two hit day for Dinges already. Two hard hit liners. Fifth multi-hit game already. Man alive, how can we not be super jazzed about this young man's promise as a developmental back stop. This bat is a weapon.
  5. Season high in pitches for Torres here. First time into the 50's. He goes consecutive 3-up and 3-down frames. I imagine we'll see LHP Anfernny Reyes in the fourth.
  6. The drunken camera work in Carolina continues. None the less, the Muddies took the lead on a Made ground out to SS. Walling had advanced to 3rd base after a free pass via PB and WP. 3-2 Muddies. Rodriguez on 3rd (BB). Inning ends on a Payne K swinging in a 1-2 count.
  7. Man alive that 2nd inning from Torres was what I crave. That was what I've been looking for. Really nice change of approach with fantastic results. Got swings and misses with that change-up and breaking ball. Got a K looking on the heater. Really fantastic inning. My favorite frame of his in Low-A to date.
  8. Torres pounding off-speed early in the 2nd. Really nice change of approach. Leading with the off-speed he rips a heater on the outer black (looked just outside to me) for his 2nd K of his second frame.
  9. No more damage done. Bitonti 3-2 K looking (high outside hook - borderline). Di Turi hits weakly into a DP. 2-2 on to the 2nd frame.
  10. Dinges ripped a first pitch liner off the Pelicans' SS (apparently, the ongoing camera snafus continue - what are we doing in Zebulon?) and we are tied 2-2. Men on the corners. Nobody down.
  11. Adamczewski reaches for a 3-2 low heater (lefty on lefty) and rips a liner past the diving 2nd base. He turns it into a hustle double in the process. 2-1 Mudcats trail. Men on 2nd and 3rd. Nobody down. That was a really nice AB by Adamczewski who picked up his 19th RBI in the process. And, he was screwed out of a 3-0 count by a poor second pitch strike call.
  12. This Mudcats production tonight is really not dialed early. They are late to swap cameras. They can't find the ball and we are getting wayyyyy too many pitches from behind home plate or off to the side. Just give us the CF camera, please.
  13. Torres escape further damage via long fly to deep RF (well hit but hung up) and a swinging K. Pitch count in the low 30's. Primarily throwing a four-seamer and change-up early by my eyes. I do not believe he's thrown a slider (?) - but the early camera work was all over the place and we only got a few pitches from behind the mound. Annoying half inning. LOL.
  14. Walk, HR, K, consecutive singles. Men on 1st and 2nd. One down.
  15. LHP Wande Torres' ongoing unimpressive full-season work continues: Five-pitch walk (everything running arm side, yet again) 1-1 HR over the RF wall to a lefty. Mudcats trail 2-0. Torres may sit 95-96 mph but with an 8:2 BB:K ratio and a slider he can't really consistently locate (not to mention a lack of a consistent third pitch at present - he tries to toss in the change-up. Hopefully that develops). Make that an 8:3 BB:K ratio - he answers the long ball with a swinging K. Anyhow: very very much a work in progress.
  16. Ol Head Justis Mosqueda (who covers Edge rushers annually for the NFL Draft) is outspoken in his praise of Sorrel. Ross Uglem fell in love with Him the last two weeks. Mosqueda did a break down (visit his article at Acme Packing Company discussing the Value of the pick) of how he views him as a Top 100 pick after watching his entire 2024 season. Some of the players he listed as historical direct comps (size, speed and bend criteria exacts) are stunning. Montez Sweat, Trey Hendrickson, and Trayvon Walker. Apparently, LVN is also on this list 😆.
  17. What on Earth?! This is nuts.
  18. Don't care about the takes any more - nationally, locally, or here on our board. I don't mean this flippantly, whatsoever. What I can say quite confidently is the Packers personnel and scouting department did their best to marry their board and their picks within the overarching back drop of the greater conversation about this Packers football team and the evolution of the roster in concert with the coaching staff. This haul - most definitely including a fairly impressive UDFA class- is where we find ourselves heading into rookie minicamp. None of us know anything about these players until they play a pre-season snap. And, even then we don't reallllllly know until they earn actual regular season snaps. All I want from the draft is more meaningful depth and some early snaps earned. I remember just last season how confounded 'experts' were by the Evan Williams pick. I'll let the chips fall where they may. The draft week was incredible. I spent the majority of Days 2 and 3 at the Noble Roots Micro Brewery sipping delicious adult beverages and convening with the awesome Packers fans in that establishment. As I said earlier, Night 1 was unbelievable. I am going to feed off that absolute VIBE for years. I'll trust Steve Smith and Todd McShay on that Rd 1 pick - Golden was their favorite WR in this entire class. Why not stay dream-filled and positive and root for the best? I'm going to do my best to rest in that question and unknown answer for now.
  19. This is going to come across as overly negative, which it is 😅, but I'm not complaining. I'm at peace with the state of the Bucks because Khash, Giannis, and Jrue willed us to an improbable Championship. The Bucks traded for 'The Kooz' in the manner they did (laughable in retrospect) and are paying three head coaches - two of which are unemployed - with the most cashola going to Doctor 'Glenn' Rivers. This demise certainly isn't rocket science. The Bucks organization truly doesn't deserve Giannis any longer. And why not extend the 'Yes' Man GM while we're at it while the meddling ownership gets their ongoing free pass for consistently making bafflingly poor decisions. They are the very definition of an organization taking one step forward to take two steps back. They have no clear vision. They consistently shoot themselves in the foot. Their current HC would struggle to make glaringly obvious line up adjustments in a YMCA League. They just aren't relevant. I think it's fair to say they would need 7 games vs the Pistons and the Magic - with or without Dame who despite his truly unfortunate injury has never been the player we all wanted him to be as a Buck. I don't begrudge the Dame move whatsoever. Unfortunately, that bold maneuver just didn't work out. Anywho, hopefully 'The Doctor' gets bold Game 5 and has Prince pick up Hali full court from the jump! 🫠
  20. The strange and ongoing organizational bullpen 'meltdowns' (overstating - struggles?) is very odd. Is it me or does it seem to be happening across every level of Brewers baseball? RHP Dikember Sanchez's season to date has me all sorts of sad face. It seems like every week across every level (most definitely including the parent club) there is one or two blown outings by multiple arms. Maybe it is exacerbated by the inconsistencies within the Brewers roster at large? Is it just me?
  21. I saw the outing highlights. I can't even believe my eyes. This changes everything. And I mean everything.
  22. I have been gone in the full on NFL Draft experience in Green Bay. Unreal time. Assume I have missed the entirety of this past week's series (which I have). Give me your Cliff Notes versions of what I need to take with me into Tuesday and Wednesdays viewings, please.
  23. I can not begin to describe how amazing it was to be in that crowd for the Golden pick. I don't care about the takes. I do not care if you like the pick or don't like the pick. That moment when Mark played up the crowd was pinnacle. That moment alone made the journey worth it. Unreal energy and excitement. I will take that with me into the grave.
  24. I am officially in downtown Green Bay. Ready for Andy Herman's lil pre-draft Q&A. Glorious weather.
