  1. Well, signing Leonard is a very good early off-season sign. He is really a nice versatile player only just discovering his broader skillsets. This an extremely fun AAAA signing. These are the types of players the Brewers tend to covet. He primarily played 2B, 3B, LF, amd DH for the Stripers but he got a little bit of action at 1B and even started a game back at SS (where he has previously played over 200 ML games). Always nice when you can grab a Swiss Army line-up knife who hit the furthest and hardest home runs for a ball club.
  2. Why stop at One? It's Yerlin we are chatting about here. I'm thinking, at the very least, pitch one should have either airmailed high and wide to the backstop or hooked 3' behind a lefty to the same backstop. To me, that is the sign his outing is going to be extremely picante.I love him like mi hijo! 😅
  3. GTJ's early season woes are eerily reminiscent of his early season woes of 2024. Is he like the NBA version of an MLB player who just stinks early and needs time to get going? Very odd.
  4. Funny, I've been tracking how Khash Munny was arguably the best player on the floor when he faced the Buckaroos early season. He's been playing like a glorified Buy Out player nearly every game since 😅. Savvy vet move showing his skillz and readiness to his old friends and org and then tanking his way back to them.
  5. 😅 Hey Kooooz has been very good early in this season. Absolutely refreshing. However, I was also fooled in the first two weeks Koooooz was a Buck saying absurd things like "Has Horts sneakily won the trade deadline?!". I think it's fair to say the only way this version of Kooooooz works is if it's an actual long-term adjustment to the entire way he plays basketball. I personally fear the Kooooooz relapse potential - which, if I'm being honest looms like an inefficient basketball ghost. BUT, to your point, I have been quiet. I have been appreciating this sudden controlled player also playing very good defense. BUT, I'm jaded. I'm a Bucks fan after all.
  6. I don't know. Might be? No Brewers played today in Surprise's second consecutive loss and O'Rae also hasn't played since the All Star weekend.
  7. It appears the Brewers have gotten a jump on their International FA class? They have reportedly signed just-turned-17-year-old (7/30) Venezuelan RHP Jesus Vasquez to a contract. We have no other details at this time. Perhaps, @ARobsBrewCrew has a mini scoop here?
  8. I've slept it off. I'm back on the LaFleur bandwagon. "Trust. The. Process."
  9. I am still finding myself giggling about that FG 'try'. What an incredible emblematic Bisyatch/LaFleur led SPECIAL Teams effort. What on Earth are they doing? This season's unraveling tailspin is such a beautiful disaster.
  10. Matt LaFleur. American Football coach. That's all I got. Oh, and Leader of Men.
  11. After an All Star weekend, the AFL was back at it for a rare Monday slate. The Saguaros lost out on an opportunity to tie first place Scottsdale after losing 2-1 to Peoria in what appears to have been a planned 7-inning affair The lone two Brewer representatives seeing live action were clean-up LF Josh Adamczewski (0-for-3, 2 K) and RHP Edwin Jimenez who pitched a relatively clean uber-efficient (10 pitches, 7 strikes) final inning: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 K, 0 R. Surprise will be back at it to face Salt River tomorrow afternoon 3:30 MST.
  12. 2024 friend of the Sounds and Brewers bullpen, RHP Enoli Paredes, who last year pitched with the Braves Gwinnett Stripers, will join the Orioles organization in a Minor League deal with an NRI to Big League Camp:
  13. Maybe it's time to go shirtless? I know it's s sensitive topic in our great nation, but you could show off your open carry permit - flash those guns on Natty TV?
  14. All I can say is I am ready for another LaFleur and Bisyatch Master Class tonight. Leaders of Men. I hear McManny had a good week of practice and is almost healthy. Maybe we fall short of the crossbar from 45 this week? The men are hungry. Brow Nation, rise up!
  15. I get what they were aiming for here and I think it's a worthy intention. Personally, I think their logo suite is a confused Fail.
  16. Surprise just poured on a 6-spot in their bottom half of the 7th. They now lead 11-2. Adamczewski is back at 2B and back in a clean-up role. Heck of a night so far (it looks like he'll get one more AB): 1-for-1, 1 2B, 4 R, 3 BB. With such impeccable on base work, Josh's OPS is back above 1.000 at 1.010. The only other Brewer who has played so far through 7 frames is LHP Anthony Flores who pitched a scoreless 1 H, 1 BB, and 1 K frame. With a Scottsdale loss, assuming Surprise holds on here, the Saguaros will move back within 1.0 G of first place.
  17. As noted HERE (Minor League Transactions thread), Luis Urías; Julian Merryweather, and Oliver Dunn have all elected Free Agency. It appears these men are taking their talents elsewhere - all the best, to a man, in their pursuits.
  18. Non-procedural moves also happened with several veterans opting to test the Minor League (and MLB) Free Agency waters: - INF Luis Urías has elected Free Agency - INF Oliver Dunn has elected Free Agency - RHP Julian Merryweather has elected Free Agency
  19. He qualified for ML Free Agency. yes, SO, technically he is in FA limbo until we hear what he has decided to do. He may have an offer from the Brewers he is considering. He may opt to sign with another club. At this juncture, we don't know.
  20. Very nice night for one 1B Luke Adams as the sole Brewer representative in an 8-0 shutout victory over Salt River: 2-for-3, 2 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K, 2 SB (4 in the AFL season) After 51 AFL AB's Adams is hitting 0.333 with a 1.040 OPS (8th in the AFL - Adamczewski is 11th at 0.955). The Saguaros (15-8) remain 2.0 GB of first place Scottsdale
  21. A bevy of procedural activations today: These procedural activations kept rolling in yesterday: - the DSL Brewers Gold also activated RHP Jesus Molina from the 60-Day IL
  22. One young stud 1B Luke Adams was back in the line up. Rejoice! The lone Brewer representing in a mid day Surprise 14-8 'W' over Salt River. The Saguaros improved to 14-7 overall and moved within 1 G of first place Scottsdale (16-7 overall). You can't make this up: back in action for the first time in a week, after a likely nagging minor injury from a HBP, Adams was indeed plunked! 1-for-4, 2 R, 1 RBI, 1 HBP, 1 HR (his third of his season). We don't appear to have footage of the blast but let's watch a vintage Luke Adams scurry down the first base line: Good timing as it appears Adams will be representing Surprise in the AFL HR Derby as well:
  23. - RHP Coleman Crow was added to the 40-Man roster by the Milwaukee Brewers - RHP Alexander Vallecillo has been released by the ACL Brewers. (Is it me or have the Brewers had to release a higher number of promising arms in the past two years due to unfortunate injuries (than in the recent past)?)
