  1. SO, as established above... There is the Bucks whistle. There is most definitely 'The Giannis Whistle'. And, then, well then there is this:
  2. Seeing Jadher 40 Man'd is awesome but it truly is bittersweet for this ol vet Brewers fan. I always steadfastly believed in the player. From very very early I could tell he just had a different feel for the game most Brewers players lacked. I saw the Brewers overly heavy 'Swing Decisions' rationale for keeping him back at High-A a bit strange and a wee silly given all the strides he was making with power and the general qualities of the player as a free formed pseudo savant. Defensively, he was absolutely gold glove caliber. Anywho, it is what it is yet again. Extremely happy for the player. The Rays know they have a good One. I guess I'll always remember that One big hit Danny Jansen had before the Brewers were swept in embarrassing fashion by the Dodgers. (No I won't 😅)
  3. I am in early after these decisions to say: I wouldn't mind in the least if the Brewers took a flier on the Twins' RHP C.J. Culpepper. The Twins didn't protect him. He's had some injury issues the past year plus. He likely fatigued by season's end (at least that's how I explain his final month) but, man, he has tools for days and has an understanding of mix. The Brewers love their fastballs and he has three including their coveted cutter.
  4. Well, last year I am unsure if @Spencer Michaelis and I recorded a single episode under two hours. This year? Who knows what we have in store - one thing is certain, however...no more grainy lagging highlight videos 😅. (1) When will the first episode(s) drop? We can't reveal that because, well, we don't know! BUT, we have a tentatively agreed upon recording window of 12/5-through-1/15. Buckle up, I say! (2) PLEASE drop any and all question below. Ask any and all things as it pertains to the Brewers Minor League players, teams, staffs etc. Feel free to share your observations and opinions as well. This thread will serve as our collective open space forum for the 2026 calendar year system wide. We hope you can join us on our 2025 wrap-up episodic journey. We will adjust the thread title to reflect upcoming episodes and focus any incoming questions in that direction. We'll 'see' you soon!
  5. Given the greater context of the players up for protection (their current career contexts) and the roster as is, this is the right move by my eyes. Honestly, after last year's snafu (IMHO), this was a nice fairly easy protection process and I think they absolutely got it right.
  6. Any season ahead with a Big Woo pitching in a Brewers uniform is a beautiful thing. From a strictly all-time Brewers player and person, regardless of what becomes of the contract (ie a straight one off as is or a re-worked multi-year lower AV scenario), this is awesome news. I'm going to enjoy the heck out of this mews over a cold One after a long hard farm day.
  7. The NBA Bucks officiating bias in 2025 has truly reached ludicrous levels. This Cavs game has been so ridiculously tilted toward the Cavs it's almost funny. Now we lose G-Man to a groin strain - likely on another play he was fouled on with zero call. Life is not easy for the Bucks fan. We literally are given absolutely nothing and in 2025 it's as if the League wants us to earn everything twice before it counts. This is not bueno.
  8. They certainly showed tantalizing glimmers to provoke such dreaming. But, as for now at least, it has been merely daydreaming on what could be IF. Yerlin has simply teased me one too many times to be fooled into thinking he's anything more than a one or two week wonder a Minor League season player. There's a reason he keeps getting opportunity after opportunity despite his absurdly wild tendencies: his raw talent is insanely good. Low, unfortunately, just can't stay healthy for any stretch of time. We haven't seen him pitch since early August of 2023 (!!) and when we last saw him (likely playing through nagging issues) he surrendered runs in 9 of his last 11 outings - hitting 3, walking 23, and K'ng 34 over those 26 1/3 IP. Like Yerlin, tho, when you have that caliber of raw goods you are going to get every chance before the wheels completely fall off.
  9. I tell you, if Wild Pitches; Walks; HB's with a sprinkling of occasionally magnificent sliders and the seldom lights out 1-2-3 outing touching 99-101 on the gun was a coveted skill set...Yerlin Rodriguez would be the first person protected in all of MLB. As is, he remains our coveted untamable wild stallion.
  10. I may be down on Musgrave - and, obviously I am and have been since quite early - BUT IF the HC is going to toe the company line on such a high draft pick (every org seems to do so until the wheels fall off) Can he at least start using him like a primary route runner vertical threat in the mold of a Mike Gesicki en lieu of what they're doing pretending he can be a Tucker Kraft? It certainly seems obvious he needs to get out and move like a deer - like that is his primary skillset as a football player. Is it me or do the Packers tend to do this routinely with players - ie miscast them to their wants and needs as opposed to using the player where and how he plays his best?
  11. People tend to severely underestimate Daboll's innate capacities to keep his players awake. Should not be overlooked.
  12. This aged like rancid vinegar. Gull dern. He giveth and He taketh at the House of Kooooooz.
  13. Man, that was an absolute slog yesterday. Not easy to watch. The repeated mistakes and drops were, um, mildly painful. This being said, I thought LaFleur called a very good game which was extremely encouraging for me. Can he do such a thing against better competition with the ongoing injury woes and OL issues? Hard to tell but yesterday's game calling was really good overall. Kudos to Him for rising to the challenge amidst a gossipy lead-up week. After another brutal half of NFL football for one TE Luke Musgrave, it sure seemed like the Packers offensive staff moved him down to TE3 on the second half depth chart. A lot of fans were invested in Hopium for this young man. Despite his athletic traits, He just continues to not be an NFL-caliber starting player. He is just the antithesis of the type of killer instinct player TE Tucker Kraft is. I will be entirely unsurprised if he ultimately is relegated to a down and distance gadget player the rest of the season. So much potential. Unfortunately. He has just been a timid unconvincing player his entire career.
  14. As you speak to @adambr2, in a truly shocking and stunning turn of events, the kicker the Packers have inexplicably been playing injured for the past three weeks is now listed as 'Doubtful' due to quad soreness. This season is as deeply ironic as it is painful to watch.
  15. G-Man returns. Kooooz swaps into Starting Line-Up and proceeds to have an incredible game and his best game as a Buck. Clutch shots. Good God let this continue!😅
  16. Good to see Adams and O'Rae full participants. They got the mini post-ASG break and should be fresh. Naturally, Luke has already been HBP. He is something else!
  17. Highly recommend giving this a listen. Spot on answers showcasing Badler really knows these players. Couldn't have answered the questions better myself.
  18. Yup. He's been very good as a player who commits to his clearly defined role player role. BUT, when he gets glimpses of impact within that role, and then a no Giannis game, it's pretty clear he wants to take another stab at being the Guy. Now, this being said, he had a nice company of poor performers in their loss at Charlotte. I certainly don't need to solely single Him out. He has very clearly been the more consistent performer in his role than GTJ who has been an early season train wreck for the most part. Or Bobby's inability to offer any defensive resistance at the 5 (doesn't even have a single double digit rebound game). Cold Anthony was a Dion Waiters clone last night etc. They really do need KPJ back healthy so they can play he and Rollins alongside each other. Push GTJ to the second unit. Unfortunately, that second unit remains a problem at large with their glaring inefficiencies. Moving GTJ to the bench gave him a meaningful spark last season. Would it do the same this year? Too early to tell.
  19. Giants were in many a game and yet found many a ways to lose under Daboll this season. They will face a team extremely capable of matching them in that department with losses at Cleveland and Carolina at Home amidst a free fall. Jameis has the ability to go off for hundreds of yards and multiple TD's in any game. He could also throw 5 picks. 😅 I predict the Packers take the lead. LaFleur then proceeds to call a conservative game. Giants pull back. And, in a late drive to win the game McManus doinks, let's see, a 37 yarder off the left upright (who knows, maybe it just gets blocked - also on brand). Jameis then drives for what ultimately is the winning TD Now, this obviously may not be how the game goes but it certainly reads like a vintage Lafleur led Packers performance, no?
  20. AND, with Giannis out we get the coveted 'Bad Kooooooozma Game'. Inevitable.
  21. Well, signing Leonard is a very good early off-season sign. He is really a nice versatile player only just discovering his broader skillsets. This an extremely fun AAAA signing. These are the types of players the Brewers tend to covet. He primarily played 2B, 3B, LF, amd DH for the Stripers but he got a little bit of action at 1B and even started a game back at SS (where he has previously played over 200 ML games). Always nice when you can grab a Swiss Army line-up knife who hit the furthest and hardest home runs for a ball club.
  22. Why stop at One? It's Yerlin we are chatting about here. I'm thinking, at the very least, pitch one should have either airmailed high and wide to the backstop or hooked 3' behind a lefty to the same backstop. To me, that is the sign his outing is going to be extremely picante.I love him like mi hijo! 😅
  23. GTJ's early season woes are eerily reminiscent of his early season woes of 2024. Is he like the NBA version of an MLB player who just stinks early and needs time to get going? Very odd.
