  1. Good god that is so absurdly awesome. Mwahahahahah.
  2. I know! I was intently listening for the call from Edwards too. I can email him to try and get that info if you'd like.
  3. What. A. Nuke. This young man...Sky is the limit.
  4. JINX! I had video!!! 😆
  5. Is there a better early pitching story than young LHP Bjorn Johnson? I honestly can't think of a more pleasantly surprising One.
  6. Nadal single. SB. Advances to 3B on a catcher throwing error. Takes Home on a WP. These Mudcats cause havoc. Across the line-up. 9-8 lead.
  7. Bottom 4: 8-to-8 As I was saying about the offense and the pitching just this past weekend? This was not the same as Holobetz's last appearance it twould appear!😅
  8. See, the camera cut illusion strikes again! (88?! My gods was that a 20 mph gust to LF?! The camera legitimately cut before he hit it. I plead unwilling ignorance)
  9. It took them awhile but Baseball America is finally starting to notice what we've been discussing for over a season plus: Give this young man his flowers baby!
  10. It's just ironical on so many levels. Your team is very much a 2-7 performing team and we have the video package to match. I almost wish we were back to solely the Press Box camera. Javik remains the professional and optimist he is through it all. To be young!😅
  11. I like this news wayyyyyy more than I should. Principally, however, imho this is the type of low cost upside ST/Rotational upside Boom/Bust player the Packers should target.
  12. I feel this so hard. It is so real. AND the jump cuts are super rapid fire and it disrupts the entire thing. Like EBJ's homer yesterday...heck of a swing and absolutely crushed and yet the entire video production ordeal and non-synched cameras somehow managed to make the home run less exciting!
  13. Could it reallllly be true? The jump I've been waiting for and pining for with the uber-talented RHP Yetlin Rodriguez just may be happening before our very eyes. I said it last year and I'll say it again: When he is right, he is every bit the part of a high-leverage MLB reliever. His raw stuff is really too good for High-A and it absolutely brings me joy to see the type of off-season work he put in to harness his penchant for 'wild'. This could be a massive development. He has every bit the raw arsenal of a Uribe or Yoho if he is dialed in. Huge early storyline. If he can keep this consistency up over the next month he is a shoe-in for that Double-A promotion. If there is a weakness in the early going for the red hot Mudcats, it's likely the unfortunate damage to the top shelf of their pitching staff. It is really hard to replace the innings of Galindez, Knoth, and Woodward! As result, as the coaching staff builds up innings and discovers best roles, they are having to experiment with a variety of looks and roles. The offense remains a juggernaut. The pitching staff remains a work in progress. It will be pivotal they continue to get the Ace output of Holobetz. Here's hoping Hostetler, Meccage, Johnson and Torres can follow suit. We've seen very good things from Garcia, Langhorne and Gillis as well in the early going.
  14. I am grateful there is a camera view from CF in Biloxi to start the season - we all know last year's technical issues dragged on and made the games unwatchable for the most part. BUT, man, of they don't fix that lens tilt for the next Home series...how does that even happen to start a season anyway? Do they not check their video feeds and equipment to prepare for the season? I remain incredulous.😅
  15. With today's 8-6 victory, the Muddies moved to 8-1. They opened a three game lead in their North division over second place Fredericksburg. They scored one run or more in each of their last four innings (5 total) to pull this one out and they continue to get offensive contributions from literally everyone on the roster. Such a talented Low-A squad. Life is good in Zebulon!
  16. In Honor of Connaughton's career day, I broke out an old relic to hang back in the welcome farmhouse hallway. Gotta honor that type of performance. Man I loved those Mecca floor jerseys. Nostalgic x 10.
  17. Was wondering the same. Did anyone see him leg out his double? Did he pull up or show any signs of anything?
  18. I wouldn't even say it took him awhile. Two absolutely freak injuries killed serious momentum in High-A. Had a solid AFL. Then a wasted season with a completely broken set-up and swing. He simplified in the off-season and appears to be back to the player we thought he was in the early going. Lottttta season left so he is in no way out of the proverbial woods but his innate talent is why he was an easy comeback player choice for me before the season started. It's really awesome to see him experience success again. Last season was what it was: a confused baseball 'disaster'. But it was only one season. The same can likely be said for Wilken if he can keep the momentum going. Good signs early from both.
  19. If my eyes do not deceive me OF Adam Hall, with two more K in 3 AB today, is sitting at roughly a 50% K Rate on the season? I've stated he looks overmatched. He does indeed look overmatched. I don't know how long this experiment lasts.
  20. Yeager has really been incapable of carrying over his Winter League momentum in the early going. I can't help but notice his arm looks tired at present. Maybe he will need a reprieve at some point? OR perhaps he is simply trying to accommodate ye ol Shuckers maxim "Never doth a victory come easy in the Land of Oysters.".
  21. Fantastic report Jim. Did Adams not tie the Miller-vs-Adams HBP Face-Off 1-to-1 earlier in the season? They took it away?!? Blasphemy. Sadly, this is one of the only things I'm truly tracking early in Biloxi. You know how I feel on greater Shuckers universe at present so no need to harp on that here. Here's hoping they turn it around and go on a run.
  22. That Mudcats game was wild. That is all. Just wild. Great interview with manager Victor Estevez. That is the deepest we've gotten into his time with the T-Rats - truly great questions and inquiry from Chris Mehring. As Jim points out: be sure to give it a listen. He astutely mentions Areinamo, in normal weather, likely has four long balls in this series and they like what they're seeing with Jadher's pitch recognition and discernment early (for those of you not aware, the discourse has leaned that the Brewers want him to work on pitch recognition and swing decision specifically). I would also point out, from my own vantage point Burke has been hitting the ball fairly hard consistently in this series but he's a bit in a low line drive poked right to someone classic baseball funk bit of bad luck. He also continues to play a fantastic 1B. Hopefully, he can start launching balls. Yophery's reaction to the trade news is what we would come to expect given his make-up as a young man. He truly is a wonderful young man. Lovely to hear Estevez give Nicasia some shine too. This interview with Estevez is going to become a Friday Road Series regular thing. That is awesome.
  23. Never ceases to amaze how dynamic the jinx/reverse jink psychic sphere is!
  24. Alright, time to put the daughter to bed. Tough loss for the T-Rats. Hopefully Nashville and Carolina can hold on.
